Yeah they've been used multiple times around here. See this spreadsheet for all the mentions I could find in this thread and elsewhere so far. Mobos mean non-ECC unbuffered (U-DIMMs) with this. Unless you can find other peoples reports on this, this might still be a gamble for you. As to them...

Check out these V-Color sticks Do you have some sticks already that you need to have identified? The sticks above appear to use Hynix JJR now (judging from the product pictures and someone's report in here), those are very similar to CJR (C-Die). Neither of them really get close to true...

The most important piece of info here would be the dram part number. That determines the die used and might tell us about OC headroom. I would ask the seller for a detailed picture of the modules, since Thp isn't able to give that info. It would show as a letter after the colon at the very end...

Hey, have you considered overclocking the RAM instead? That sounds to me like it could potentially be the path of least resistance in that case. If I see it correctly, those should be KVR26N19D8L/16 modules. I've seen multiple of the single rank version of those overclock to 3600MT/s easily...

Yeah I've been thinking about the same thing! Haven't seen those used server modules under 11€ per stick around here tho, that wasn't worth it imo. They should fit tho, DDR3 and DDR4 sticks have the same length and VLP is obviously a standard height. From what I've read so far, common advice...

The IMC isn't harmed by this, no. The IMC cares very little about DRAM voltage in general, and I didn't need to raise SOC or VDDP for this at all.
