    Motherboard NH-C14S and Z490 Mini-ITX board compatibility

Sounds about right. With photo fitting I can get a measurement of 17 mm. For comparison, on the Gigabyte board the overshoot on the top edge is about 5 mm. For the curious, the overshoot on the right edge is on the ASRock board about 17 mm and on the Gigabyte board it's 18 mm. That is to the...

    Motherboard NH-C14S and Z490 Mini-ITX board compatibility

Now that there's ASUS's B460 board, ROG Strix B460-I Gaming, I'll add it on the list. It seems this one even supports some sort of PL1 in-specs overclocking (or more like "use more of that turbo the CPU already supports"). This one's again a maybe; a definite answer would need a measurement from...

    Motherboard NH-C14S and Z490 Mini-ITX board compatibility

I don't think the other two orientations are possible, or at least normally usable, on any motherboard, so that's why I didn't consider them in the first place. In one, the heatsink would collide with the PCIE card, and in other, the heatsink would go beyond the IO shield, so it'd be a really...

The two-month old April Fools' joke is still a featured piece, and the most prominent part, on the site front page. Shouldn't that already be taken down?

    Motherboard NH-C14S and Z490 Mini-ITX board compatibility

Tl;dr: Based on the pictures of the boards, the only Z490 Mini-ITX board definitely compatible with NH-C14S in either orientation is Gigabyte Z490I Aorus Ultra. ASRock Z490M-ITX/ac possibly is. Others seem to be only compatible in the orientation where the heatpipes are towards the PCIE slot. Is...

    Concept FormD T1 V2.0

Here's hoping that the horizontal version also becomes reality! I've been reading the T1 thread for a while now and almost made up my mind to purchase it as soon as it becomes available in large quantities. But now that I saw these designs, I may have to adjust my decision yet again! The T1...

Gigabyte Gaming RTX 2080 Ti into Streacom DA2 - a painfully hilarious story of support

I see you've already addressed this problem here. It seems I've even underestimated the position of the mobo (I just measured it'd be 50 mm from the bottom of the case to the PCIe slot, as the specs say that you can fit a 50mm card), but it seems the mobo is even higher, with only 10 mm of room...

Gigabyte Gaming RTX 2080 Ti into Streacom DA2 - a painfully hilarious story of support

Of course, there's the possibility that I turn the whole setup around and either remove the bottom mesh or just poke small holes into it for the heatpipes to go through. On the bottom, the heatpipes probably won't be seen.

Gigabyte Gaming RTX 2080 Ti into Streacom DA2 - a painfully hilarious story of support

Hi @tinyitx, it's taken a while to reply. But I believe this is also a photo of your rig: Unfortunately, that is an orientation for the cooler where it doesn't fit under Streacom DA2's top dust mesh. For the cooler to fit inside the case, you'd have to rotate it 90 degrees clockwise. And...

Gigabyte Gaming RTX 2080 Ti into Streacom DA2 - a painfully hilarious story of support

Well, first of all, the 1080 inside the Gaming Box isn't readily changeable. While the 1070 inside the Gaming Box is an ordinary GTX mini card, the 1080 is a custom-made card. Don't know about the box around it, though. Furthermore, there aren't yet any RTX 2080 mini versions (if ever). The...

Gigabyte Gaming RTX 2080 Ti into Streacom DA2 - a painfully hilarious story of support

Hello all, About two months ago, I started to plan my very first own PC build, straight into the SFF class. No worry, I'm very thorough and know my way around the components, already started tinkering with PCs in the 90s with my own 386. So I believe I'm not heading into an incompatibility...

Completed MJOLNIR: The minimalistic – but not boring – 9.7L Case

I still have one question: how is the computer turned on with this chassis? Is that small circular shape below the mobo IO board on the back panel a standby switch, or is it just a screw hole?

Completed MJOLNIR: The minimalistic – but not boring – 9.7L Case

Really interesting! I was daydreaming about building a well-designed compact gaming rig, but was really disappointed about the off-the-shelf mini-ITX chassis, which are really bulky, so it's nice that these are now being developed. Not all of us want to show off by owning a huge tower resembling...
