The Dynatron R15 and direct die cooling: Is it possible to fit a 25mm fan?

Not great. With the Dynatron R15 and the A9x14 the heatsink cannot cope with a stress test and throttles fast with a package temp of 104c, but does perfectly ok with gaming. In the Division 2 i was getting between 65-75C on the package with the cores much, much colder. With the Asetek 545LC (at...

The Dynatron R15 and direct die cooling: Is it possible to fit a 25mm fan?

I finished the project, with a delid + direct die mount the thicker Noctua fan does not fit. It was very close though, where it was perhaps 1mm too thick to have the side panels of the case close correctly.

I'll give both a try soon and post the results.

The Dynatron R15 and direct die cooling: Is it possible to fit a 25mm fan?

I've used the Asetek 92mm AIO before with this case and it works really well but I'd prefer to use air cooling if possible. I know that trying to cool x299 with such a small air cooler/AIO is absurd but it's fun to think about/build, hence why I'm looking into exotic direct die cooling to take...

The Dynatron R15 and direct die cooling: Is it possible to fit a 25mm fan?

Oh there is no doubt, but do you think it is worth a try regardless?

The Dynatron R15 and direct die cooling: Is it possible to fit a 25mm fan?

With the A4's limit of 47mm coolers, combining a 27mm high cooler (such as the Dynatron R15) with a 25mm Noctua fan shouldn't be possible to cool anything with Asrock's x299 ITX board.. That being said, with a delided and direct die frame there would be no IHS and the cooler would be mounted...

    DAN C4-SFX - old

2x120mm is incredibly flexible. While I wouldn't be using the case that way, there are a ton of people in this thread that would. USB type C is the port of the future, easy access to one on the front of the cafe would be fantastic. It is far more practical to have this than 3.5mm jacks for...

    DAN C4-SFX - old

If the the volume limits of the of the C4 do not apply, and the case is being redesigned, would it be possible to make case compatible with the EK Phoenix kits? It seems like the perfect fit for a SFF case like this with its pump/radiator combo.
