Production Sliger SV590 and SV540 - Vertical SFF Cases!

Might be a good idea to change the date on the site, as "Pre-order, ships December 18th" on the 20th+ is confusing to random customers who aren't following these threads. :)

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

The big motivation(to me) to use ATX is that there really aren't motherboards comparable to the high-end Asus ROG/Asrock Taichi etc being made in the smaller form factors. Personally I'd rather motherboard manufacturers build more robust mATX or mITX motherboards. But right now, if you want...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Yeah, I should have linked the specific graph I was referring to. You can't compare RPM to RPM because fans make very different noise at a given RPM. The important relationship is noise vs airflow through radiator. The ML120 makes less noise for a given airflow requirement at just about every...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Multiple reviews indicated that it was, and that it consistently outperformed the vardars and GTs(which are about the same) in terms of noise for a given airflow through a radiator. But I don't really want to get into some kind of argument about the ML120s, the new Noctuas massively outperform...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Yeah I bought 3xML120s for my build(best performing 120mm radiator fans at the time) and now I'm seriously considering replacing them with the Noctua NF-A12x25s because of how much quieter reviews have been indicating they are at a given rpm.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

I feel like in price discussions people forget about service. I bought one of the very first production cases and when I had an issue with my top panel, it was addressed quickly, in plain english, and a replacement was sent out only a few days after we figured out what the actual problem was...

    Red Cerberus goes faster, though.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

I almost feel like @KSliger should stock those low-profile USB3.0 cables as a standard accessory haha :D Almost anyone using an AIO in the bottom will need one, unless they are doing mITX.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Yes as far as I understand it, ITX uses a subset(the 4 around the CPU area) of the standoffs from the ATX 2.1 spec. mATX uses them as well. Here is a diagram from the mATX standard: + So mounting points C,F,H,J are common to ATX, mATX, and ITX. This is also confirmed by earlier posts in...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Isn't it mATX that doesn't go in Cerberus-X due to standoff issues? ITX can definitely go in Cerberus.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

What's up with 280mm AIOs in the bottom of Cerberus/Cerberus-X? The specs say one fits with 25mm fans in the bottom of Cerberus, but not in the bottom of Cerberus-X? The cases are the same width, and I can't imagine thickness is the issue. Also there's apparently a reddit post from @KSliger...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Has anyone taken the measurements to get demcifilter to do custom filters for Cerberus? I know someone mentioned that the Ncase M1 ones kinda fit at least for bottom(?) but I'd like full length top, bottom and side filters to be honest. And maybe front for a future build.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

I've actually managed to mostly-strip the head in one of the tiny screws that holds the side bracket closed after I-can't-even-count how many removals but this was definitely my mistake. Should probably figure out what screw type that is and replace it... E: Damn I was tired when I made this...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

FWIW, the sides of my case were pretty hard to take off the first time, but after ~10-15 repetitions it got much easier and now it's no problem. Not sure if there's a way for @KSliger to fix this, short of having someone take the panels on and off a bunch of times before shipping(which is a...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Yeah my SX800-LTI is still running fine and it's been just about 3 months now. I don't ever turn my PC off, so it's been 24/7 operation for that whole time. Some percentage of bad hardware that dies quickly is just a fact of life unfortunately. I bought 3 Corsair ML-120 fans, and one of them...
