Is it possible to do 2x280 with standard 25mm fans, or are we restricted to thin (10-15mm) ones? With the collapse of the W1 project this is on my radar as the 'next' SFF case I could cram 2x280 into.

Love the idea and would be interested in a stainless version, but for me it comes down entirely to two factors: cooling performance and pump noise.

Most folks on Discord are using reference or FE boards for NV.

L Correct, these are the dimensions I’m referencing: the width, height, and depth of the radiator. Eg, for the 280GTS: 312mm long 153mm wide 29.7mm thick

I understand the thickness requirements, but what about the width/depth?

Any word on exact allowable radiator dimensions?

No reason to match those IMO when the Optimus cold plate has higher fin density and area than any of the others.

The supported length is 312mm but the actual dimensions are 314mm...like I said: case tolerances for W1 are _tight_ but radiator ones are usually not so it’s a coin flip on whether any individual 313-314mm radiator will actually fit.

With some sanding and squeezing, possibly. The bigger question (har har har) is what are EK's manufacturing tolerances? At 313mm you could likely squeeze it in if you don't mind voiding your warranty with some sanding, but if the tolerances are anything like HWLabs' you could wind up with a...

Turns out that HWLabs’ radiator tolerances are huuuge: close to +/-2mm in any direction. Their QC in that regard is kinda crap.

Looks like 280GTS radiators with NF-A14 fans.

360mm radiators are unlikely to be supported as the 280’s offer as much surface area for cooling, as well as increasing costs due to smaller volumes of side/top panels. Past that, the machines used to make the case can’t actually handle anything larger than what’s being made!

The amount of attention to detail in the beta units is pretty surprising, but then @WinterCharm went and took literally every single piece of feedback, no matter how minute, and fixed it. That riser cable? Shortened by 1cm from the beta version so it’ll be nice and snug :)

Not sure dual D5’s would be needed for a loop this small; where would the 120GTS fit in as well?
