I didn't see any decrease in thermal performance with the sheet of paper taped over the CPU side. I was expect 1-2 degrees warmer for the VRM temps but surprisingly this was not the case. Also you mentioned you wanted to do push/pull on the PSU side. I tried that today on my build, and was not...

lol those noctuas do be expensive. I did not test with slim fans, as slim fans on top of the TX240 leave too much room for hot air to get trapped, and not completely exhausted out of the case. In term of noise, I sit about 3 feet away from the pc, and I'd say anything below 60% on these A12x25...

Thanks, coworker said the columns will be extended by another inch in the final version.

I did not test with just a single rad. I was banking on the A12x25 being strong enough to draw air in from the side to passively cool the 2nd rad. I also did not like how hot the backplate on the 3090 was getting under load, and made contact with the riser at the same time (could not find...

Unfortunately no fans on the side rad. The Alphacool block for the 3090 is quite thick, and the backplate is required since it's needed to cool the VRAM. I actually had to push forward the riser to be able to mount the GPU because of the backplate. About ~8mm of clearance left between the...

Preliminary testing with 2x TX240 + 2x A12x25. All panels attached. Maxed RPM. Stock voltages. Temperatures were read from HWINFO64/GPU-Z System: Intel 10900K + RTX 3090 Ventus OC (using Alphacool 3090 Ventus block) CPU only: AIDA64 (30 minutes): 69°C Cinebench R23 (30 minutes): 70°C GPU...

Just a large sheet of 80 grit sandpaper taped down to a smooth surface. Smooth with a 300 grit once height is reached. Unfortunately no build log from me.

Thanks! The majority was on the intake side. Once the sticker is removed from the exhaust side, I noticed that the metal bearing was situated below the frame just a tiny bit, so I sanded it off until I reached it (which was very minimal), and then placed the sticker back on. I only did this for...

Here are some pictures. Sorry, I do not own a digital caliper, but yes, around 2.4mm was sanded. The blades on these fans are slightly lower than the core of the fan, so once you hit the core, you should stop. I also sanded a little bit off on the exhaust side. I took off the sticker, start...

Spent sometime sanding today, and I just want to report that I was able to sand down the both NF-A12x25 fans to fit on top of the TX240, and still able to spin. Also had to flip the radiator bracket down to save another 1mm. The one toward the IO shield has to be 0.89in (22.6mm) or less, while...

Hey guys, Is the only way to fit 2x 25mm fans on top of the TX240 and have the lid close is to sand them down?

Did anyone run into this issue? And if you did, what did you do to resolve it? Riser not holding in the mobo because of bottom panel pressure? : FormD (reddit.com) This issue literally melted a couple pins in my PCIe slot. Had to RMA the mobo and try to get a new riser cable as well, since it...

I actually have a couple of these on the way, but I don't think they will clear the EKWB Torque fittings from hitting the block.

Anyone has a suggestion for a semi low-profile rotary 90 degree fittings that will work with the Nouvolo block in 3 slots mode? The ones I have now will sit flushed with the panel, but with the addition of the EKWB Torque compression fittings, they will be 2mm overflowed :c

With a DDC pump/res inn the back, I only have 271mm of clearance and the smallest AIB RTX 3090 so far is the XC3 from EVGA at 285.37mm. With the Alphacool LT pump/cpu block almost impossible to find, that left me with a reference card + EKWB block. But I really don't want to try and cool both...
