I am not sure if it is still current. I had HDPlex 400 + 280W industrial MeanWell AC/DC brick.
Actually Nano tripped over-current protection most likely on acdc brick during boot and I was able to turn on PC on 3-4 try. Undervolting CPU helped and fixed it but nothing I wanted to use long term...
Could you please post here picture/screenshot from benchmark?
If your SSD reach 2.5 Gb transfer which is roughly 300MB per second it is slow. But I would like to prevent we are lost in units.
Because if your transfer is 2500 megabytes per second it is about right and correct for Evo 970 SSD...
Can it do VR?
HTC Vive
- Yes it can. There are however occasional stutter. Still on doable level but not really smooth.
- It actually works best on stock GPU settings. Better than overclocked.
- It actually lack like 10% of power for really smooth experience. Lowering settings helps but only a...
Funny is meanwhile I left monitor lying flat with some weight on it. It "fixed" that bended corner and there is still small backlight bleed from side but in acceptable level. During daylight not visible at all.
Hope: Good portable monitor so we don't have to rely on Chinese let's say proof of concepts. PC powered VR without cables
Reality: I don't expect anything special beyond standard slight evolution.
Unfortunately no undervolting at the moment. CPU has lowest offset enabled to 0, No other slider in BIOS or Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.
GPU undervolt is not enabled at all
Last week I received Hades Canyon NUC NUC8i7HVK (stronger one)
There are many reviews on the net so I will more summarize few findings (just as it came to my mind. No real order)
My use case is to have it as portable machine for business trips when I will hook it to hotel TV or use portable...
I actually recently ordered one. It is ubelievably thin and light.
Picture quality is very good. Not as good as lg 27 inch desktop monitor but quite good.
No dead pixels, quite good colours and speed.
BUT
Because it is so thin it is also fragile. One corner on my slitghtly bended when I had it...
How is it working for you after few days?
I am considering it but I have some concerns about power and don't want to carry around another adapter. Does it work with power from USB-C?
(if you would like to try step up converter but I think it would be too weak -...
I suggest you include one more variant in your equation and that is if you need portability like no portability at all / only around rooms like bed room and living room / relatively frequent (business trips, weekend house, LAN parties)
I have at home ITX build and decided for Hades Canyon to be...
I wonder about numbers different way. In Metro temp difference between cpu and gpu is roughly 40 degrees. (Vega OCed core had 57 degrees max compare to 94 deg. max on CPU under same cooler)
There is something wrong with pre-prod unit cooling with this difference. Maybe bad thermal paste...
Link to review of pre-prod unit. I recommend to go through to original south korea source where are more photos and screenshots of bios.
