I wonder if you could deshroud the GPU and that would make it small enough to fit. Looking at this image it seems like the heatsink does not extend al the way to the edge.

I wonder if you could put the drive into a usb enclosure, use another computer to transfer the drivers onto the drive and then put it back and install the drivers.

NVMe SSDs are backwards compatible. If you use a gen 3 drive with a gen 2 connection, the speed will just be capped at ~1500 MB/s.

The Thermaltake Water 3.0 Extreme 240mm seems like it would be perfect, but it is currently out of stock. The 120mm is in stock though. Another option is the Be Quiet! Pure Loop 240mm which the pump on the tubing, so maybe it would fit? However, I think the old pump is a generic Asetek design...

The EVGA 3060ti XC Gaming is dual slot, 110 by 201.8 mm. This seems to be the smallest 30XX gpu so far.

Is the gpu a blower syle gpu (only has one fan, exhausts air out the back)? If so moving the case towards the front of the desk could help. Also, maybe putting small (40 mm or 60 mm) fans between the desk and the wall pointing up would be more effective than larger fans blowing at the wall.

I don't think think this would do much, but I have no knowledge of CFD. How much of a gap is there between the desk and the wall?
