My Cerberus arrived today, excellent packaging with solid documentation. Besides a few assembly cock-ups on my end the overall process was pretty easy.
that 8700k is OC’ed to 4.8 and the temps haven’t gone above 75 yet.
still rocking the Vega 56 mini until I can snatch a 3080
Pics compared to...
Hobby or not, I have a lot more room to figure things out in a Cerberus!
any idea if I can fit the barrow pump block behind the rear-mounted psu? worst case, I use the dodgy bottom mount until it arrives in a month and I can make a diy 92mm
fortunately, it is delidded and I have fans-a plenty for the case too.
Doing a full loop looks to be prohibitively expensive and to make just a 92mm cooler requires waiting on either EU or china shipping for the water block =(
I suspect I'll end up keeping the sub-optimal radiator plan until...
think I could skirt around the issue with a hybrid GPU bottom mounted and my arctic on the front?
Looks like the only way to free up that front space is with a GPU underwater.
Got an 8700k that ideally, I want to OC and i don't think the little Alphacool 92mm is going to cut it =(
yikes, all this talk about 240mm rads in the bottom is making me nervous, I've already bought an arctic liquid freezer 240mm to mount in the bottom since no 3080 is going to fit with a rad at the front, I watched the teardown of the artic and it seems to have a little pocket between the water in...
Sentry owner here, Given that only one side of the case was perforated for the GPU; I ended up biting the bullet and bought a Sliger Cerberus MATX.
It's sort of working out?
I had an older Z370 MATX board lying around so I grabbed a delided 8700k on eBay for 250 bucks, I'm definitely going...
I received my platinum unit with the GPU attachment for my 750w. Had some difficulty getting the GPU PSU connector in,
Installed in a sentry MK one, works great so far! very tight fit in terms of length tho, GPU cable was too short to reach the GPU.
Used an 8 pin extension, and needed an extra...
You will run into issues with the R9 nano and those monitors too I'm afraid. I had some r9 280xs from the same generation and while the HDMI could output 4k it could not do it at 60hz, this resulted in one smooth panel and one sluggish one at 30hz.
I have a vega 56 nano I'll be trying to sell...
