Completed MJOLNIR: The minimalistic – but not boring – 9.7L Case

I love windows (temp glass) to my hardware, but with how hot gpu's are today, I think it was finally time to move on. I got the Moonstone S with handles and RGB for a little spice I have a black alu case now, and it just always looks dusty. The blue grey is very beautiful, but doesn't go with...

Case ordered! Now for AMD and NVidia to release new stuff and fast. VAMOS! :D

Yeah, I don't want to hijack this thread, although potential builds are somewhat relevant. This particular board is a little different, afaik. One of the promontory chips are not used in extension, but rather for its signal booster. That would be the daughter board chipset that only connects to...

Reason is that that board has 2x full speed USB4 connectors as well, so it's full on IO. This will help with thunderbolt kvm/dock making working with work laptop easier for future use. That being said, I am tempted to wait for zen5 and the ITX boards to follow with x690/x770 or whatever they...

What a shame. 2 extra screw holes in the metal bars would make it possible for more flexibility. I'm specifically thinking about the ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-I which has a vertical daughter board with sata connectors sticking out to the side, right into the PSU:

I'm trying to figure out how to do a build before I buy the case. I think it was a horrible choice to put the fan/AIO radiator at the bottom of the case: It intakes air instead of exhausting heat. Pumps on AIO's will fill with air, resulting in noise and decreased lifespan. As far as I can...

Very nerdy question for a potential mini mod. When installing the rubber feet, they stick out on the inside of the case with a sort of lip. I can see the front has a very tiny cutout for these lips to pass under when sliding out the shell. I wonder what is the clearance here? 1mm, 2mm?

Damn that blue grey looks so good. Idk. what to choose anymore. I'm still leaning towards moonstone, because it fits the black front better. I think you already said you would add more sCrews?

His problem is that he never reads the manuals or reviewers guides, so he always does the dumbest things as a result. I still watch his stuff, but a lot of these youtubers are surprisingly incompetent. At least Alex is competent enough to focus on the constructive criticism and turn a blind eye...

I wonder how much the PCIe 4.0 risers costs in comparison to the new 5.0: https://linkup.one/pcie-5.0-riser-cable-Sept2023 (Of course I cannot guarantee they live up to the claim) Adt link has a semi gen 5 cable, but it's just on the edge, and given the issue with mjolnir, I don't see Alex...

That's one tight fit. I do wonder if it would be possible to fit a full size fan with radiator under the GPU, if it used a 90 degree riser cable instead: (I know that one is too short, but in principle)

It looks really nice! And I love the 2 sizes, so you can fit proper high end cards and watercooling in them. I really like the front too. I would have loved temp window panels though. Gotta show off that sweet hardware ;)

A couple of ideas: Have a look at how the hardware business is moving; especially the GPU space (size, heat, etc.). Don't start another crowdfunding until the prototype is ready for manufacturing. Or better yet, if there is enough liquidity, put in the order for manufacturing of the first batch...

Looks fine. What motherboard and graphics card is it? Could be a PCIE3 or 4 issue. Make sure the power connectors are installed correctly. Also remember that the first ever boot might take a minute or more to turn on as the CPU is updated with µcode.

Jay recommends an XL version with room for a full 24cm AIO with 2 normal fans, just like I did. With the future high end GPU's, I think this would be a great idea.
