Motherboard Framework Desktop: ITX Motherboard with Ryzen AI Max CPU

Very nice! I wanted to ask something: Have you considered tossing an RX 6400 in there for Lossless Scaling at all? I'm aware most don't use their Framework for gaming, but the 6400 is a 4.0 x4 GPU with a TDP of 50 watts. While this technically breaches the 25W max that Framework says the slot...

GPU Possible to use RTX A5000/A5500 mobile (P3/P360 Ultra) on desktop motherboards?

Hi! I actually might have a solution for you: I'd be looking to buy your GPU off of you because I have a P360 Ultra that I wanted this GPU for. If you're interested, I have an RTX 4060, A2000 or another handful of LP cards I can offer with my purchase!

GPU Can I fit a low profile GPU into Lenovo Tiny

If you don't need the extra horsepower, I have a spare T400 and a T1000 which could bith use a new home instead of collecting dust. Let me know if you would like either!

Motherboard How do I find the pinout of a proprietary header? (Thinkstation P360 Ultra)

I think it's a requirement based on the specs of the processor; that is, if you have a processor with a 125W TDP, it will demand both fans be running. Mine had an i9-12900 that later got swapped to the T version, it's finally quiet :) For those later to this thread, I've been running the...

Log Lenovo P360 Tiny SFF Custom TruNAS build

For a wide list of reasons, I recommend against hardware RAID setups for NAS usage, mainly because with most consumer solutions (eg chipset RAID) there is not visibility on Intel platforms as to what the array is currently up to. While SODIMMs may be a barrier to max expansion, remember that the...

    Log Lenovo ThinkStation P360 (P3) Tiny - Intel i9-13900TE & PNY RTX A2000 (12GB) 1L Chasis

I'd still love to see if I could smash an Nvidia L4 GPU into my P360 Ultra, but the issue is I couldn't find a way to get it to be a graphics processor before I had to give it back. I wonder if you need a license from Nvidia to use their newer ones in GPU mode.

Log Lenovo P360 Tiny SFF Custom TruNAS build

Believe it or not, I'm in a similar boat. I have a Pi4 with 4 2TB HDDs sitting in a neat case the size of a soda bottle, but I want to employ my P360 Ultra to various server duties as I prepare to upgrade to an AM5 based platform, maybe. Unfortunately, you'll need to keep the power adapter. ATX...

GPU Gunnir ARC A770 16GB LP: Alchemist Rides Again

Thanks to you, I've successfully destroyed my dreams :( Believe it or not, my particular case actually DOES support the extra 11mm vertically, because the card is laid sideways. There is extra clearance between the CPU shroud and GPU area to support it (pictures to come later). The real deal...

GPU Gunnir ARC A770 16GB LP: Alchemist Rides Again

@robbee Sorry, I meant to delete that first thread, just couldn't figure out how. On that, you are right that it's not quite half height. However, the way the layout of the Thinkstation P360 Ultra is arranged there's spare height available against the CPU cooler, so I'm hoping there's just...

GPU Gunnir ARC A770 16GB LP: Alchemist Rides Again

GUNNIR is working on a 165W TDP HHHL ARC card! This thing would be great to have. I imagine the base render performance is worse than the RTX 4060 LP, especially considering the cut to TDP. However, the doubled VRAM buffer and PCIE 4.0 x16 bandwidth (alongside Deep Link capabilities) position...

Discussion OptiPlex XE3 SFF GPU suggestions

You may be losing more performance than you think. On the version of that board they released with the 8th Gen Intel processors, that upper slot is not PCIE 3.0x4, but PCIE 2.0x4 with further halves the bandwidth. Perfect for a capture card, not so much for a full GPU.

Discussion OptiPlex XE3 SFF GPU suggestions

If it helps (and you don't mind the risk of an exposed PSU) I have a Dell Optiplex 7060 with much the same specs as the XE3 (i7-8700/32GB). In order to make room for my A2000 6GB, I ended up pulling apart the power supply after leaving it for a week (making sure the capacitors were never...

Discussion What Setup Options for on-the-go VESA mount Portable Monitors

While this won't be as useful for most machines, if you machine has Thunderbolt USB-C you can usually get away with all-in-one USB-C cable solution. The ThinkVision M14t is a 14" monitor that can be had for $150 on Ebay and features a touch screen 14" panel with USB passthrough.

CPU Need 12V 200W minimum power brick

That aside, most gaming laptop/standard laptop power adapters rely on 19.5V for power transfer specifically for amperage reasons. You may be able to wire yourself a buck converter if you strictly need 12V.

    GPU NVIDIA Tesla P4 LP

The P4 doesn't offer additional performance over the A2000 I currently have, but it is certainly much cheaper. As a starter GPU for an 8-9th gen Optiplex system, I think it's a fantastic GPU for budget users! Personally I'm interested in the t4, but prices on those are still astronomical...
