So I tried to see if I could use the rubber pins that comes w/ Noctua P12 fans to mount some to the top of the case. Sadly not possible. Really looking forward to some top mounted fan options.
@MarcParis Were you ever able to have a top mounted fan w/ your build when you had a C14s w/ dual...
I'm not going to lay it flat for a 2x2 array of screws. I was going to put it skinny side to the base since there's 2-3 screws on the drive. That way connections will face the side of the case and I can run power and sata cables along the side of the case.
I was thinking maybe just 1x 120 on the bottom and mount the hdd perpendicular to one of the infinite vents so I don't have to buy the bracket. Or I suppose I could just turn the hdd into an archive drive and not even make it part of the system.
@Nyven
I'll try bending the power cables on the graphics card and see if I can the side panel back on.
13. Oh that's sag? It's still there when I have the case lying flat. I thought the graphics card just sits 2mm too low or the back plate of the case is 2mm to close.
The hinge isn't a big...
9. Might be as issue w/ my I/O shield?
12. There's a ~2mm off set on the hinge. Have to hold it up to get the holes to align. Not sure if by design. Side note, realized I can't have 2x 120mm fans on the side w/ a front sfx psu.
13. A bit of over hang from the graphics card.
14. Very minor...
Thanks for the prompt reply. I'll try those fixes.
5. Makes sense. I figure there's an after market solution that I can just tape to the side of the case. Worst case I just run extension cables from the back.
8. I believe I'm missing the plate that covers the area next to the pci slots. I'll...
Well there's my baby for now. Side note, I was having issues getting my computer to turn on earlier in the thread. The LED and power wires from the switch were connected properly. The bequiet SFX-L PSU was DOA so I'm using the ATX PSU from my old build. Since I didn't order an ATX mount, the...
So I tried switching the wires as @isabirov and @Nyven said and the LED doesn't power on and neither does the system.
Put it in the wrong order (white/black red/black) and the led lights up but pressing the power button doesn't do anything.
Pardon the noob question, but is the red/black or the white/black connected to the front panel power button? I have a MSI mortar Z270M mobo and am trying to do a dry run before I put everything into the case. I just can't seem to get the system to turn on. Here's a picture of the front panel...
Ordered a black case with no extras. Have the components prepped and ready.
Just want to clarify that there is no top mounted fan slot without a handle. Also wanted to see if there is still a plan to have top mounted 2x 120/140mm bracket.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but for the Cerberus, I thought cooler clearance was 142mm w/ side hinge and 148 without.
Also, @Aibohphobia and @MarcParis, from those pictures with the NH C14s, it does not seem like there is room for cooler + 1 fan on the hinge. Unless the clips on the cooler fan can...
How does one go about doing that? I would pay a good bit for that. It would make the case pretty perfect in my eyes.
I only plan on running 1 card so I wanted to leave the case vertical to save on footprint and still show off the graphics card instead of having to tip the whole case sideways.
