Wow, @aromachi thats great, thank you so much for putting your time into this! The model is helping me a lot to get a picture of the case. Would the joints have to be glued or just stick them together? I guess glue would make disassembly difficult.
@all Thats a lot more help than I was hoping...
The case I'm looking for doesn't exist AFAIK. And I know the production of a single prototype can be quite expensive. So I thought I ask here to get a feel for what I'm getting myself into and maybe there is someone who likes the case and is interested. I'm sure there are some in this forum who...
Great! I'm looking forward to this! I'd be very interested in the performance of the little chipset fan as I'm planning to use this for a silent built. And the performance of the M.2 heat sinks in comparison to those you get with some M.2 drives.
Am I right in assuming that all newer portable monitors don't have VESA support in order to mount them to a monitor stand? If so, are there any other ways to mount them? I need a 15 inch 1080 touch screen and I need to be able to instantly move it out of my sight.
thanks in advance
That sounds great! I'm still in the deciding phase. I might even wait for Raptor lake because by then DDR5 and thread director issues might be sorted out. For music production software the e-cores are potentially very useful but what you need is sustained high clocks on a small number of cores...
Is there enough space to mount the HDplex 400w inside?
This seems to be the perfect case for me. I'm planning a powerful mobile intel APU build for workstation use. No dGPU, no 2.5 ssd.
Mostly Audio production. So I plan to make it as silent as possible. But the CPU has to run at high clocks...
Isn't it about time to shrink the physical dimensions of RAM by half? I mean both normal and SO-DIMM.
DDR5 seems to get capacities up to ?? 128GB. half of that seems to be enough IMO. Would be great for SFF. Would the pin out be a problem?
sorry if this has been discussed before, but is there a kind of softbag that fits the l5 tightly? I've been looking into Camcorder bags and the like and didn't exactly find what I was looking for. I don't need anything fancy, only some soft layer I can put around the case before putting it into...
1. I have chosen the L5 because it is perfect for my workflow. I carry it every day from my home into the musicstudio and back. I have monitors at both places, so sticking it into my backpack is no effort at all. It's really small but it doesn't try to be the smallest which is good because you...
Someone in my town is selling the packed pixels 9.7 for 100€. problem is, that my relatively old igp of the i7 2600k doesn't support the resolution. Will I be able to use a lower resolution and drive the display with an old HDMI output via HDMI->DP adapter? Or does it need straight DP bandwidth...
@Analogue Blacksheep - Not now, I plan to make some in the next few days, thx for asking. After seeing your pics I had a look inside the case once more and it seems that the ATX connector on my mb is even closer to the edge than it is on yours. It's the Asus p8h77-I. So no chance to fit it in...
after some huzzle with the german postal service (lost and sent back) and with great help from lone I got my L5.
The built will be primarily for mobile multichannel high resolution audio recording (24bit, 96kHz) and editing. No Gaming, so I decided to go without a discrete graphics card wich...
