    Discussion Asrock x300 temps issue

If you dont mind a little butchery: This isnt mine but I did exactly the same thing to my x300 which has a 4750G in it. It's very quiet and with general use the machine runs at 34-40 degrees. Gaming it hits 65-70. It's quite a destructive mod... but totally worth it I recon :D More photos here:

    News Asrock Deskmini X300

I have noticed that there can be a loud, high pitch squeal when they are set to hibernate/shut down... It's very annoying however I have a strip socket with switches on my desk and am used to turning them off at the switch when I shut them down... After some googling I found there are adaptors...

    News Asrock Deskmini X300

The ones that come with it are the 'X300W' model where as without is just the 'X300' it seems. I got two X300's and added the 'W' to one, then realising I've ethernet cables so not much point adding wifi to the second...

Prebuilt ASRock Jupiter X300. Thin barebones kit for AM4 APUs, only 1 liter in volume!

I literally just bought another x300 this morning lol. Typical.

    Getting to the age where...

For something ultra small/nazzy, have a look into the DeskMini x300. They are becoming more readily available and I've just sold off my two ITX builds and am settling for a 4650G/4750g because whilst the are a whopping 1.9 litre capacity cases, they sure can yield some performance. Absurdly...

Discussion Arctic liquid freezer 2 280 issues - 280mm AIO recommendations?

Hey there. That sounds like a shocking experience there! Could it have been second hand? I have the arctic 420mm AIO and all round it's been astounding! All fixings were present, I've never heard the pump or the VRM fan and this is an open build sitting under my monitor so I hear everything lol...

Discussion Ryzen master on Renoir APU

Awesome.... kind of! It certainly runs now however it only seems to show temperature and core voltage,, the rest of the readings are greyed out and it seem's I'm unable to configure anything :\ I think I'm going to stick with the TDP limit which seems to do a good job of undervolting and wait...

    News Asrock Deskmini X300

Yes! Much thanks. It wasn't until after updating the bios did I confirm that the 4000 series is just not supported by Ryzen master application at all however (strange decision) however the newer bios does allow me to lower the TDP which it appears is doing a great job at undervolting the CPU so...

Has anyone modded a heatsink to make it shorter/smaller?

wowsers... that actually looks really good! I have an NH-15D I'm tempted to see how it aligns, might even run passively but would cause issues with lack of airflow over the board components. I put a 240 AIO on the day before yesterday and despite temps being downright awesome, it seems the...

    Prebuilt [SFFn] ASRock's DeskMini A300 - Finally!

This is right on the money... For anyone interested, updating to the X300 to the 1.46 bios (shipped with 1.40) has exposed the TDP limit (65/45/35) and it's actually doing an okay job undervolting the CPU to keep the temps down! Seam's perfectly stable on the X300 for anyone interested!

    Prebuilt [SFFn] ASRock's DeskMini A300 - Finally!

Eurgh, So bios flashed to 1.46, can limit CPU TDP which is a nice feature but Ryzen Master still refuses to run? I am beginning to think that the 4650G is just not supported by Ryzen master?!

Where did you find the 1.46 bios? Could you provide a link?

    News Asrock Deskmini X300

Do you have a link to this page/blog/file? I have an X300 with a 4650G and no matter what I try, Ryzen Master says it's not compatiable with this CPU But works fine with a 3000G on exactly the same setup... I'm on 1.40 and am beginning to think this bios update might be required for ryzen master...

Modifying a Raijintek Morpheus 2 for use of a CPU

I suspect the lack of perceived adventurous-ness is down to compatibility... The standard forms we see today exist as they are the most 'compatible' with all the different motherboard/component layouts. From rear IO heat syncs to tall ram etc, there isnt a huge amount of 'guaranteed' safe space...
