Completed S401: Salvo Studios <8L mITX Steel Unibody Chassis w/ GPU & CPU fans in same direction

Hey @grsychckn (or anyone else) - I've got an S401 and am looking at the current batch of Nvidia 3080s - I know the S401 is 2 slot but any idea if an EVGA XC3 (2.2 slot) will fit? Card thickness is 45.1mm with backplate or 40.9mm without... Other dimensions are: Length 285.37mm / Height 111.15...

Completed S401: Salvo Studios <8L mITX Steel Unibody Chassis w/ GPU & CPU fans in same direction

Thanks @annasoh323 & @Thehack - ordered a Thermaltake fan and your C7 bracket today - going to take a while to get to the UK :) On the bracket you're talking about @annasoh323 - it was designed specifically for the ASUS B450i motherboard which has an M2 socket with heatshield that stands proud...

Prototype DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

Mine was accepted as a return by OCUK and I was refunded a few weeks ago - not sure if it was because I was one of the first to call them up to ask for an RMA or if it was because I told them that it just didn't fit my motherboard due to the size/heatsink placement on the ASUS B450i.

Completed S401: Salvo Studios <8L mITX Steel Unibody Chassis w/ GPU & CPU fans in same direction

Thanks - that's really useful! Just to confirm - you're saying that without the spacers (i.e. default S401) I could use the adapter you posted with a C7 using a low profile Noctua 92mm fan and the 40x10mm Noctua's but not the 20mm variety? Using the spacers I can get away with a full height...

Completed S401: Salvo Studios <8L mITX Steel Unibody Chassis w/ GPU & CPU fans in same direction

I'm still not 100% on whether I'm going to use the spacers or not - but all those options are pretty interesting. I already own 2x 40mm Noctua's and the NF12x15 so could go for either option. I particularly like the mount though as it's got cooling for my top mounted drive. Otherwise is it a...

Completed S401: Salvo Studios <8L mITX Steel Unibody Chassis w/ GPU & CPU fans in same direction

Hey Everyone, Looking forwards to the arrival of my S401 :) Should be with me on Tuesday according to UPS which means I'm going to take some time out from work and transplant my build into it (currently in a Node 202). I've got the following components: Ryzen 5 2600 ASUS B450i Motherboard...

Prototype DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

So it was a Node 202 that I tried to install it into - not sure on the DAN layout but with the Node there's a PCI riser and I'm even concerned that won't fit.

    Big Shuriken 2 Rev B - AM4 Mod - ASUS B450i

Hey all, So I just attempted to install a Black Ridge onto an ASUS B450i motherboard and hit a couple of issues. I'm now tempted to get a Big Shuriken 2 Rev B and mod it to fit on an AM4 motherboard. I'm wondering if anyone has attempted this with an ASUS B450i/X470i and whether the Shuriken...

Prototype DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

Hey - that was my post - I tried multiple ways to try and get it to install this afternoon. With the ASUS B450i the length of the Black Ridge means that it overshoots the PCI socket so you can't fit a GPU - at least that's how it appeared to me after I managed to get it seated in the AM4...

Feedback on my Node 202 workstation/light gaming build

Thanks for all the feedback - I picked up a Node 202 for a bit of a steal from Amazon last week so I already have it. I'm going to use it to experiment a bit but will probably end up replacing it in fairly short order with something with a bit more SFF street cred :) Final Parts List: Ryzen 5...

Feedback on my Node 202 workstation/light gaming build

Researching cases - the LOUQE Ghost S1 looks pretty amazing - and it's not much bigger than the footprint of the Node 202 with the stand. Can I wait until January 2019 though? Maybe'll I'll build into the Node first and then upgrade to a LOUQE once their shipping times are a bit lower....

Feedback on my Node 202 workstation/light gaming build

Thanks - would definitely be open to other ideas. Living and working in London my desk space at home (where this machine will be used) is pretty limited and the overall dimensions of the Node are perfect (in a vertical orientation). If I could get something with a similar width when vertical -...

Feedback on my Node 202 workstation/light gaming build

Hey, I'm putting together a build in a Node 202 which will primarily be used for software development in Windows. I usually develop on Mac but we've been picking up more projects which have required Windows recently and I'm sick of running Windows in a VM - and bootcamp isn't practical as I...
