SG13 Front Mount PSU Build (Stupid pic heavy)

@billabong2606 I haven't been on any forums lately. I have been super busy with other non-tech related projects. To be honest, I swapped all my components into an InWin 301 and then hated it, so I sold it. . . . I then tossed in some extra $ and purchased a better system! So far I'm...

SG13 Front Mount PSU Build (Stupid pic heavy)

I know this was asked a while ago, I have been away and things changed. But I'm back, with a new build as well! Honestly I kind of like the full size ATX in the case. It gives me a nice area to tuck away all of the cables and they stay there. It kind of fills the case up creating a wall for the...

    Cooler Master Elite 130 mod

Great job! I really want to modify my cables now but I don't have any of the tools and only a semi-modular PSU.

    lulzbot 500w psu help?

http://www.formfactors.org/developer/specs/ATX12V PSDG2.01.pdf The Mean Well ripple and over volt are out of the ATX specs, but I take it the HDPlex will further smooth things out? What is the Dynamo System? Cant seem to find and info.

    lulzbot 500w psu help?

Using a computer PSU to power a 3D printer, if you are careful about the 12v rails you can do it. A 3D printer PSU powering a computer imo is probably not a really good idea. I have no idea about the lulzbot psu, even though we have 3 of their printers. I'm not sure i would trust the voltage...

    SG05 Modification. Poorman's Vertical Case

In an activity cooled pc the hot air goes where the fans push it, and from the orientation of the fins of your heatsink thats going to be mostly left and right. Blocking the top shouldnt hurt the systems cooling, especially with the mesh cover you have on there.

    SG05 Modification. Poorman's Vertical Case

Nice build! I really like the idea of the perforated cover! If you still have enough height and your width is the same as my SG13 then your 3.5" HDD should fit left to right with some right angle connectors and massaging of the upper support piece lower flange. You would also have to...

SG13 Front Mount PSU Build (Stupid pic heavy)

Got the front cover printed. It looks pretty good, but it has some issues so I opted to not finish it with paint and a good sanding. I will make some adjustments here and there and make another. Plus it looks much better in person, the camera brings out all the little details you wouldn't...

SG13 Front Mount PSU Build (Stupid pic heavy)

I think I have a design that I'm comfortable with. I moved the USB and audio ports to the top, it seemed like the best place to put them with everything else going on in there. It should use the original power and reset switch assembly, I might have to print a new power button cap but we will...

SG13 Front Mount PSU Build (Stupid pic heavy)

Got a new toy! Noctua NF-F12 3000rpm. I'm going to play with it a little, but I think this is going to be my new heat-sink fan. It currently wont fit at all, even if I rotate the HDD sideways, so I have started drawing a new front cover for the case that will accept the 3.5" drive. I have been...

SG13 Front Mount PSU Build (Stupid pic heavy)

Thanks, I'm having a blast with the build. Looking at some of your projects I really need to use a proper camera and clean up my area, lol! Nice builds and great camera work!

SG13 Front Mount PSU Build (Stupid pic heavy)

i managed to get a lot done this weekend. Printed some feet to keep the case from resting on the PSU cord, which also allowed me to retire my handy leveling book. I purchased some thin Cooler Master 80mm fans, I test fit them with a temporary mount and found some additional clearing that...

SG13 Front Mount PSU Build (Stupid pic heavy)

Thanks! I'm really enjoying the build so far, its nice to get to build something like this. I built a I5 4460 system back in 2014 with the SG05 and as soon as I saw that case I was hooked on SFF. I had been stuck with a 2500K in a Corsair 230T since 2011, that processor aged amazingly! it still...
