    Brickless S4M -- i3 + 1060 6gb

Hey guys, finally got around to some preliminary testing, and wanted to provide an update: First, I did some quick undervolting with Intel XTU. I was getting crashes/freezes at -100mV, but everything seems stable at -50mV instead. So maybe not the BEST result I could hope for, but still not too...

    Brickless S4M -- i3 + 1060 6gb

Hey dude this is fantastic info, super helpful, thank you very much. I'm slammed with work right now, but I'll get around to some additional testing asap and will share back. Thanks again!

    Brickless S4M -- i3 + 1060 6gb

Thanks for the suggestions. Yea I think undervolting is the next step for me. I wouldn't mind shelling out for a Dell 330w external brick at this point either, but I guess I'd also need to pick up the bigger DC-ATX unit too anyway, so not the cheapest solution huh? In general it feels to me...

Water-Cooled NCASE M1, 1080 Ti Mini w/ Vertical GPU Mount

Good luck buddy, will love to see what you come up with.

Water-Cooled NCASE M1, 1080 Ti Mini w/ Vertical GPU Mount

Holy hell that mono block + pump/res is intense!!!!!!! That is freaking awesome!!! Anyway, the water block has been awesome! I've been testing the 1080 Ti overclocked at +100/500 and my i7-6800k at 4.0 Ghz, and I've only got a single 240mm rad. On synthetic stress tests the CPU is actually...

Water-Cooled NCASE M1, 1080 Ti Mini w/ Vertical GPU Mount

You want your screws to be 3 ~ 5 mm longer than the fan's height. So that 92mm slim fan you mentioned is 14mm tall. You would want a screw around 17 ~ 19mm long. I imagine they probably don't come in that size though, probably a standard 20mm instead. I *think* that should still be ok. You just...

Water-Cooled NCASE M1, 1080 Ti Mini w/ Vertical GPU Mount

Thanks, dude! I run the fans on my motherboard's "standard" setting, so they basically always run at 1300 rpm (out of 1800 max). At that speed, the sound isn't too loud, and it is sort of "clean", not whiny. Not bad as far as case fans go! YMMV of course, if you're super sensitive to the fans...

    Brickless S4M -- i3 + 1060 6gb

Hey man, sorry for the delayed response, but here it is: I'm just running the videocard at stock settings. There is definitely not any extra power for overclocking. The 1060 6gb games quite well though, AAAs on high settings at 1080@60. I don't have a T processor, but that being said, I do...

Water-Cooled NCASE M1, 1080 Ti Mini w/ Vertical GPU Mount

Hi all, here is my water-cooled NCASE M1 with the vertical GPU mount from Mnpctech. I've never actually seen another build published with this part, so I think this one is somewhat unique for that and a few other reasons. With that being said, this is my very first attempt at water cooling, so...

    Brickless S4M -- i3 + 1060 6gb

So far, so good. I have been playing Prey lately, and that is doing around 180w according to my Kill-A-Watt. Benchmarking (3d Mark, Heaven) was as high as 200 ~ 215w. Both of those figures include using the USB-powered monitor off the same AC-DC unit. The unit gets very hot to the touch, which...

    another ncase m1

Digging the front fans and the Hydro, very cool. :) My NCASE has a 1080 Ti in it right now that constantly thermal throttles, so have been exploring GPU water cooling myself as well.

    Brickless S4M -- i3 + 1060 6gb

**NOTE TO READERS** After some further testing, I can confirm this build has issues with random shutdowns during gaming sessions due to power limitations. The internal brick also gets EXTREMELY hot under full load (can't hold a finger to it). That being said, I have had some success with...

Power Supply Options for S4M Build

Hey, one last question if you would be so kind... What kind of tape did you use for your brickless S4M? I'm looking at this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I4E4HPI/?tag=theminutiae-20. Seems to fit all criteria (thin, double sided, heavy duty, heat resistant), but on the other hand I'm a...
