Production Velka series cases for ultra compact and portable desktops

Anyone with a Velka 5 v1.1 tried ziptying some slim fans to the interior backside to help remove hot air? Not sure what size and thickness of fan would fit but I'm looking at Noctua's NF A9x14.

Anyone with a Velka 5, is there enough width at the rear to mount/ziptie an 80mm fan to the exterior of the perforated area? Thinking I might set up a fan as exhaust so that negative pressure will have air constantly coming in through the side panels.

Production Nouvolo Steck - SFF 8.7-11.2L ITX PC Case, supports liquid cooling

@Nouvolo In a previous post, you said v1.1 will be running for a while. Can I assume a v2.0 won't be available until (well into) 2020? Just trying to convince myself that I won't miss out on an imminent release if/when I order the rest of my parts later this year.

Where did you order it from? Is it an official C7G or a graphene coated C7Cu that you can get from vendors on TaoBao? I've been checking near daily for official C7G availability.

Buildzoid seems to be singing praises with his breakdown of the Gigabyte x570I

Are high static pressure fans still recommended for bottom exhaust if going with vented side panels? There's not much clearance under the case but I don't know if that's considered "pressure" or too restrictive for silent high CFM low pressure fans like Arctic F12 PWM.

My vote is either front panel USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A (+ Type-C if possible) or no front panel I/O at all. Front panel audio is questionable due to internal wiring and EMI especially in a small case. Rear panel audio at least has direct traces on the motherboard but my preference would be using my...

@KSliger It's of course too early in the production for any revisions of the current design, especially with work still to be done on SM570/580, but has there been any consideration for a future SM560 revision that uses the extra width for the CPU side? (i.e. more avaiable CPU heatsink height...

    LZ7 #7 Build Log

The XT140 also has an minor audible whoosh at its lowest RPM. AI Suite reports the minimum operating RPM of ~850 RPM at 40% fan speed but it won't allow me to set it below 47% fan speed which is ~950 RPM. Right now I've turned the case fan off until the CPU hits 50C. This effectively makes the...

    LZ7 #7 Build Log

Quick update with some overclocking results and temperatures. For the CPU, I'm using OCN's custom x264 stress test with my i7 6700K clocked at 4.4GHz with a vcore of 1.248V. Temperatures stabilize around 80C for the 1.5 hours that I ran the stress test. Both the CPU fan and case fan ramped up...

That was my first thought too but I did a quick Google search about using alcohol on acrylic and all the top results say that alcohol on acrylic can cause cracks. I might try to carefully sand it out with some high grit sandpaper.

If I look at the panels head-on, it's not as noticeable. It's just the angle that I took the photos at. The top panel stains are unnoticeable looking from the front. I tried to rub the colouring off with a damp cloth but I may have spread it lightly instead haha

    LZ7 #7 Build Log

I present the build log for my LZ7! Thanks to @K888D for designing such an amazing case. It's my first ultra-small form factor build. My previous PC was housed in a Bitfenix Prodigy which is a mansion compared to the LZ7 (comparison photos available in the build log). First things first, the...

Production Lazer3D LZ7 - Quiet Gaming Cube PC Case

I'm almost done my build (build log WIP) but I've run into a minor blocking issue with the drive panel and the size of SATA power connectors coming off the SF450. Because the drives are screwed in flush to the drive panel, it's impossible to connect the SATA power connectors to the drives...
