I suppose REG means registered, which will not work with any consumer grade board. Only ECC will be supported. So the mentioned kit is definitely not going to work if that is the case.

I just installed my adata vlp-ram (2666mhz) with my 3900x on a strix b450-i. Best Freq i can get is to 3000mhz (1.36V). everything above throws errors or won't boot at all. I haven't tuned the timings yet.
