Discussion Is there an interest in purchasing prebuilt SFFPCs?

Wasn't Shuttle the one big prebuilt sff maker(s)?

    "SFF" Keyboards

Yep, it can be any key. I have briefly tried split spacebars but not for an extended amount of time. You can make one of the spacebars into a layer/fn key so that you'd hit it using your thumb and maybe have full access to say a numpad layer all using your left hand for example. Easy access to...

    "SFF" Keyboards

I have experience with 60%, 65%, 75% and full size kbs. 65% is my favorite all-around layout. 60% is great for a travel kb for your laptop. I am still figuring out if 75% is comparable to the 65%. I like having the blocker and arrow cluster as well asn pgup/down and those couple of keys. I know...

    "SFF" Keyboards

Built my Noxary 268.2 Polycarb. GMK Minimal 5mm brass plate Drop x Holy Pandas with clear switch film 3403 lube and TX 70g springs This was my first time cleaning off lube from the stock Drop x Holy Pandas (used qtips and alkaseltzer bath). It took 5 hours for 90 switches ... kinda grueling...

    "SFF" Keyboards

I have a Whitefox from the R1 run. The split backspace is awesome once you get used to it (I kinda figured you should be by now though). I think the ergonomics of the backspace being closer is better than the normal layout. Arrow cluster is there but you can also just do the whole capslock as fn...

    General Chat Thread

@el01 So I semirecently (over the last several years) got back into owning a desktop and laptop. I think I sorta realize that it's a bit of a money waste and probably better to just have a laptop (which you replace every 4ish years or so) and a nice monitor that you hook it up to when you use...

    General Chat Thread

Randomish question but what are everyone's general take on how long desktop and laptop purchases should occur in terms of "I should budget for replacing my desktop or laptop (and smartphone) every X number of years"? I'm doing some general budget projections and have put down: $1200 for...

    DAN A4-SFX v4.1

Nice! In the future I wanna do a hackintosh too so I'd be interested in seeing if the components work out and if the OSX installation is smooth.

    The Photography/Camera thread

I shoot with a Fuji XT2 after using the Sony RX100 lineup for a long time (had 3 versions). But I honestly find it difficult nowadays to actually go out and shoot with it. There is no motivation =/. It's kinda amazing how good the images out of smartphones are nowadays with photo editing apps...

    "SFF" Keyboards

I think 65% is the sweet spot for me. One thing to note to those who don't see themselves liking a smaller sized keyboard is that there is definitely a psychological/perception-based change when you use a smaller keyboard. Even though the difference in size isn't that big, I feel like I have a...

CPU Hades Canyon as primary PC

I've also thought about using a Hades Canyon as a main PC and a portable/travel one vs getting a laptop. I plan on just waiting another year until my laptop is dead to decide.

The console that Does it all | S4M, GTX 1080, brickless

Jesus ... that's really nice. The brick is actually the main reason why I decided to go with an alternative to the S4.

    Post Your Rig/ Setup

Here is a quick look at my work area. It's kinda a mess and needs to be cleaned up but I'm a bit lazy. The wires I'm sure will annoy a lot of ppl (the floor is even worse). This is a standing desk (but funny enough I use the chair a lot more than I do standing). The Dancase A4-SFX is in the...

Skyreach S4M - Brickless minimalist build

How much does it cost to get all the equipment needed to custom cable sleeve a system like this? It seems like a fun skill to learn but I have a number in my head ... if it costs more than around $75 total to do the sleeving ... I'll probably pass.
