"OGRE-250" .67L OCuLink eGpu module, using HDPlex GAN 250w

Speaking of, @msystems any update on the fan mod? Would love to do it before I travel to a country that averages 32c and I have no clue where I should put it

"OGRE-250" .67L OCuLink eGpu module, using HDPlex GAN 250w

Its a fairly easy build. All you need is a jumper to short the power, the screws mentioned above, the internals and a few minutes. It looks far more daunting than it actually is. You dont necessarily need the threaded insert or GPU screw unless you plan to travel with it. Oh, but do NOT print...

"OGRE-250" .67L OCuLink eGpu module, using HDPlex GAN 250w

THANK YOU SO MUCH, I literally had all these same parts lying around and hadnt had time to make a chassis before a long work trip in a few weeks, and you just saved me multiple hours trying to figure it out! One quick question, what are you using as jumper cables? Are you shorting the two wires...

Production Velka series cases for ultra compact and portable desktops

The issue is card fittment, nothing larger will physically fit inside the case. Keep in mind im talking Velka 5, not the 7 so i would need every available millimeter. The 3090 blower is far and away the best performance-to-size ratio card out there With that said, its sort of a moot point as I...

Log 🚀 Neon Rocket 🦝 - A tiny, powerful, and quiet gaming pc build - 5800X3D + Custom A4000 GPU

Yeah, turns out I either got a bad Z39 or the mounting pressure was off. After switching to the Thermalright, I was able to set PBO2 to -30 and leave the rest untouched and it stayed below 85c during high refresh unlocked fps esports gaming loads. Its so odd, im seeing so many conflicting...

Log 🚀 Neon Rocket 🦝 - A tiny, powerful, and quiet gaming pc build - 5800X3D + Custom A4000 GPU

@Runamok81 Any update as to what you landed on for the CPU cooler? Doing a 5800x3D build in a Velka 5 and have to bring my settings to -30 all core, 82/55/83 just to get it under 85c on a Z39. Same motherboard as you.

Production Velka series cases for ultra compact and portable desktops

Ordered my cables. Absolutely loving my Velka 5 with a 3070ti, trying out a few mods to get that exhaust air out of the bottom of the case. I just saw that the Gigabyte 3090 Turbo blower card could probably fit in the Velka 5 with some custom ultra-low profile pcie power cables from KareonKables...

Production Velka series cases for ultra compact and portable desktops

I really want to get a velka 7 but really need Displayport 1.4, is there a solution or low profile right angle cable someone knows about that I can squeeze inside the case under the panel? As long as its at least 3 meters long, it should work for my setup.

Prototype REVOCCASES RCC-SMALL3 | 2.65L brickless ITX case & optional 1.56L Thunderbolt eGPU

I've heard its significantly better which is great, however I am unfortunately addicted to competitive shooters where max fps is king, so pcie bandwidth and round trip latency is still a problem for me. I'm still going to be on the lookout for something to make this work as I love your case...

Prototype REVOCCASES RCC-SMALL3 | 2.65L brickless ITX case & optional 1.56L Thunderbolt eGPU

Oh man, this is so close to being the perfect pc for me. I’ve always dreamed of a project similar to this, where instead of using Thunderbolt 3, you could mount a low profile nvme m.2 pcie 4.0 4x extension cable that would go directly to the egpu. That could double thunderbolts bandwidth and...

Production FormD T1 Classic (READ FIRST POST)

I went through a lot of the specs on the 3090 and 3080 cards, it looks like the MSI Ventus 3X, the EVGA XC3, Asus TUF series, and the Inno3D Gaming X3 should all fit with relative ease. Granted, I'm primarily looking at the 3080 models, but the 3090 models seem to have very similar, if not the...

harder to sell on the used market. Other than that, they are usually pretty highly binned cards and good picks. With aftermarket blocks you can put back on the air cooler for better resale. Buying a card and putting a block on it later will be more expensive in the long run.
