For those needing slim fans on radiators and are having a hard time getting Noctua NF A12x15, Arctic now has P12 in 15mm thickness. https://www.arctic.de/en/P12-Slim-PWM-PST/ACFAN00187A

PSU exhaust is down because I planned on water cooling originally but air cooling is too good. I also ordered the custom PSlate cables already so I had no choice but to stick to that orientation. CPU at stock stays under 80c. GPU peaks at 76c at auto fan.

It’s the @pslate cables. I highly recommend them for a really clean build

Happy Thanksgiving FormD crew. Upgraded from a Ryzen 3600 with a Noctua L12S to a Ryzen 5600x with a Noctua L9a. Sold my 3080 FE for a 6800XT. Build log V2 coming soon with 1080P and 4K benchmarks.

@Wahaha360 Minor suggestion for any new FormD T1 revisions. Please create/ship the 3-slot mobo bracket with the ability to do 2.5 or 2.7 slot mode. The reason for this is that my 3080 is currently using the 3-slot mobo bracket but 2-slot GPU bracket setup and I noticed that my GPU temps are...

I went with the 25cm so I can disconnect the riser from the motherboard easily due to the extra slack. Also, I’m gonna experiment with giving the rear m.2 more room to breathe to see if that reduces temps. I think 25cm is the best length for ease of use overall. 20cm will work fine though.

Yup, mounting holes fit although it wasn't perfectly aligned. No issues though.

LinkUp PCIE 4.0 Riser Cable Update. Here some pics of the LinkUp Riser cable. Fits perfectly in the T1. Click Here Performance-wise at 4K, there is no real difference between the stock riser and this one... it’s all within margin of error. Buying this riser is more for convenience. If I...

UPDATE RE: Big Shuriken 3 + Noctua A12x15 Air Cooling Hey everyone, I decided to install the L12S to see what kind of performance i'd get over the BS3 + Noctua fan. I did return my old 32GB Ripjaws 3200 C14 for 16GB Corsair LPX 3600 C14 just to have maximum compatibility with any cooler for the...

Well, I went on an ordering spree. Noctua L12S (already own) Noctua L9a (also 120mm hub from @Thehack) Big Shuriken 3 (already own) Cyrorig G7 G IS 47K I figure the BS3 and the L12S are the 2 main choices for air cooling in 2 slot mode while the remaining 3 are the best for 3 slot mode. I'll...

Now that the Radeon 6800 XT is a 2.5 slot card, I need to rethink my air cooling build. Does anyone here have experience with cooling a 3800x, 3900x, 3950x with a Noctua L9A or similar cooler? I've seen OptimumTech's "Sanity Check" video but I'd like to get some feedback from other FormD T1...

Exactly, it would provide a bit more space for either (or both) the CPU cooler and GPU cooler. It's just an idea. For now, i'll be running the system with the side panel off IF the 6800XT does not fit with it on. If AIB's don't have a dual-slot version, then I may have to resort to water...

Just wanted to start the discussion of the new Radeon 6000 series cards for the FormD T1. 6800 - 2 slot GPU 6800XT and 6900XT - 2.5 slot GPU (per AMD) Some notes regarding usage in the case: All 3 cards are 267mm in length. DC-LT and 40 res are compatible once blocks are available - LINK EK...

Brude is able to use the L12S because he’s using LPX RAM, he doesn’t have to worry about RAM height. With my Ripjaws V, any orientation didn’t work for me as the L12S heatpipes/fan either hit the RAM, or hit the VRM heatsink. If I tried to make it work, I’d have to remove the RAM’s heatsinks...
