    DAN next project - A4-Nano/B4-SFX

What features should I look for in a motherboard when putting a part list together for the Nano? I'm considering i5-12400F, 3060, 16GB DDR4, and M.2 drive to start. It'll be end up being my daughter's first computer. All she does is play minecraft.

    DAN A4-SFX v4.1

Anyone shouldn't have too much trouble finding 645LT's on eBay, albeit used.

    A4-SFX Upgrade Failure

It doesn't. The only component back there is the m.2 slot and the bracket stays clear of it. There isn't a LGA1700 version per se, since the aio can be used on most boards so long as you have the corresponding retention kit for it.

    A4-SFX Upgrade Failure

I've made some progress after trying different ssds. First I realized a grave mistake: I did not remove the film from the thermal pad before installing what would be my main drive. I removed it, hoped all was fixed, tested with a game and it still crashed. I'm guessing since I tested so soon...

    A4-SFX Upgrade Failure

Rear NVME drive was a inland PCie 3.0 drive. I removed it and played a game and it still crashes. Both Cinebench R23 and TestMem 5 ran without issue.

    A4-SFX Upgrade Failure

Fresh Win11 install, latest BIOS, and yes I have. The PCIe tip is a good one, I never would have considered that. I'll try that next. Short and long power delivery windows right? I have them set to 65w. I'll need to re-check if B760-I has MCE because I don't remember seeing it. I honestly...

    A4-SFX Upgrade Failure

The only memory that shows up on that list when searching by vendor and kit is: G.SKILL F5-5600J2834F32GX2-TZ5RS 2x 32GB XMP 5600 5600 DS SK Hynix 28-34-34-89 1.35 1,2 The kit I have in the system right now is: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR5-6000 PC5-48000 CL30 Dual...

    A4-SFX Upgrade Failure

Tried both Auto and XMP. Tried one RAM stick just to see what happens. The result is the same any which way.

    A4-SFX Upgrade Failure

I was rocking a 9900K for a few years up until my rig stopped booting, I was able to get it back up and running but also saw this as an opportunity to upgrade my PC which I once called my dream build. I jumped in headfirst with no research and bought whatever caught my eye (you'll be able to...

Fixing Rear MB M.2 Heat Issues in Dan A4 V4.1

Thanks for following up. I'm having a hard time picturing what you're describing. So using the extension cable you linked, you placed a thermal pad on the m.2 drive and fastened it on, sticking the other side of the pad onto the plate?

    DAN A4-SFX v4.1

I'm inclined to believe you, but what's your source or experience with that? I've ordered a SF750 already, but it will arrive past the launch date for the 3080, I wouldn't mind installing it early.

    DAN A4-SFX v4.1

Don't forget the PSU. He'll need 750W if he wants to jump on the 3080 bandwagon. SF750 is hard to come by right now, unless you're willing to pay $100 more than MSRP. This site has it on preorder for $186, I placed my order today. Hoping I get one...

    Fits a RTX 3080 ?

That'd be considered off-topic for this thread. You may receive more comprehensive replies if you were to post a thread about it in the appropriate forum. Just from looking at the case though I'd imagine there wouldn't be an issue. Although it's completely dependent on the build's setup.

    Fits a RTX 3080 ?

That doesn't bode well for me, a fellow Dan case owner looking to get a 3080. Hellow mentioned we should also consider getting a PCIe 4.0 riser to cover all bases. My motherboard (ROG STRIX Z390-1) doesn't support 4.0 so I guess I'm SOL on that front. I may have to settle with the 3080 for a...

    Greetings!

Hi everyone, I joined the SFF life a little over a year ago, going from a NZXT phantom case to a Dan case. I love that I can kick my legs underneath my desk with hitting something. Also, I don't know wtf I'm doing! So thanks in advance for the patience you'll likely exercise when I do reach out...
