Completed The MI-6 Microtower Case: Performance in 6.7L

Fit is very tight but it works with a very moderate bulge to the panel. I have a fan inderneath downdraft style with vengeance LPX RAM underneath. Performance with my stock 3700X has been fantastic. It is difficult for me to search things as this post is from a phone, but one of my earlier...

Congrats for hitting pre-order marks; hope round 3 of MI-6's make it into production quickly! I'm loving my 2nd run case as it has made a very favorable impression on the co-CEO and visitors to my home are impressed by how tiny it is for being a full desktop.

I still haven't been able to post my build on Reddit either. I am going on day 19 of sickness in the home and it has just wiped out my ability to do anything... If we can get well in a few more days, I will post it there and I think that could help push towards 50.

Agreed, the second edition is fantastic. I arrived to SFF sometime after the first edition was already released and couldn't be happier with how my Zen2 build turned out. If I needed to build another SFF machine (I don't), I'd buy another one of these in a heartbeat.

Here is my case showing the moderate bulge. Top panel still closes things out. Scythe Big Shuriken v3 is another good cooler option here IMO.

Motherboard X570 ITX Motherboard Review Thread.

I ordered the gigabyteboard today. Might as well future proof and ASUS wasn't ready. I liked the Asrock board too but didn't want to be stuck with only 1x m.2 slot

And the price just went back up to $400+ on the cards this morning. There goes that idea for now. I had the same thought with an aero itx cooler from a 1070. I don't have a 3D printer but some of my friends do.

I think a mini DTX concept would be a good follow on since mATX seems to be fading away (a shame IMO as it meets most user needs and doesn't require the space of ATX while still being easily cooled). I recall another thread where one of he designers had spoke to board makers and it seems that...

@firewolfy , do you have a timeline for how long you'll be accepting preorders for lofts? I'm on the fence if I'll actually need one but won't have a solid answer until a few days after 7/7.

Yorkfield user here. I've had the itch ever since Ivy Bridge but haven't scratched it yet since I don't game and adding SSD's were enough to keep the rig smooth enough for my photo editing. I'm looking at a newer camera with more megapixels though... so I'm going to be due for the horsepower...

    Used GPU

I have bought and sold components on eBay and hardforum with zero issues. The above suggestions are all spot on; my personal favorite is to buy on enthusiast forums as the number of scammers and ability for them to persist is low.

Perhaps instead of devoting a full 16 lanes to the GPU only use 8? How many new cards will saturate that for PCIe 4.0 in the next 2-4 years anyway? And let's say it does get saturated, how many folks building an STX or ITX machine really will care if you only lose 1-5% performance?

I really was hoping for an MSI Aero ITX 1660 TI but those don't seem to be available in the USA and the coolers have a machined aluminum block instead of the heatpipe/finned cooler on the 1060/1070/2060. I couldn't bring myself to spend the time tuning the Vega 56 Nano to be undervolted either...
