@TaylorChiller Having received the case, here are some of my observations reverse engineering it (ps. I like to make 3d models of the things I own - if you have one I would love to have it !!)
- Simple mechanics: A lot of times industrial designers overcomplicate things like how things mount...
I pre-ordered two cases and I still want another two (looking to move my consoles in too - I can 3d model mounting options). Good to hear the project is progressing! How does demand look like? enough for another preorder period?
It's crazy that louqe / mjolnir is able to reach all those...
I keep checking back at this forum post for latest info, because I'm really excited about the design. Honestly I think it deserves much more attention - how do you feel about the current audience size / waitlist size? Is it too much to handle production wise or is there room to grow?
I think...
Speaking of which, how about the walls of this case? Wondering if there will be warping / flex if it's too thin. Like the walls next to the radiator / fans for example
How thick is the motherboard tray? I'm really liking this build - lots of nice design ideas in here, from the legs to the square vent holes. Very innovative!
I wonder how tolerances would be like - Pre production samples vs production samples have a large variation (over or under milling), especially from cheap manufacturers.
I do hope they fit aesthetically together without larger or smaller parts. There is a whole study on tolerances lol.
I was doing some research the other day about g1/4 extendable cpu block pumps and I found this - while it's not extendable, maybe the way the flow works on this block can serve as an alternative inspiration to mounting a DDC pump to a block...
The slimmest rad i can find from a major manufacturer (excluding xspc's 20mm thick tx240) is EKWB coolstream se 240 at 26mm. Their spec sheet says 28mm but I believe that includes their inlet/outlet ports
My second question would be: how much width is accounted for glass panel thicknesses? Even if this case does not come with one, a 1/4" allotment for side panels would be great for third party / modder friendly acrylic or glass side panels.
Any thoughts about modularity? Looks like you can almost go louqe ghost style tophats with your design with some minor tweaks, sorry if it has been brought up before.
