    DAN C4-SFX - old

Captain's log. Day 403 Today I picked up an alien lifeform, called a "hekkin' chonker", he appears to like human music and has informed me that his name is Sheev. Though he looks very angery, Sheev is very nice. Still waiting on signs of the Dan-C4. Captain, out.

Prototype Oki-Doki : a GPU bifurcation and watercooling dedicated case, from 9 to 14L

Huh, that's a very interesting Mobo. It'd be really interesting to take a closer look to see how they manage to not need a 24 pin connector.

Oh boy, you've really made my next case decision a difficult one. What's that build volume? Looks roughly 13 liters?

Wow, I may be interested in this as an alternative to the Sliger SM580. Any thermal tests for the most recent revision?

    1. IIRC this only affects some 480mm water-coolers in the 580. You really can't test for every single edge case, and literally it's the difference between having the fans on top vs. bottom of the radiator. Minor problem with an easy fix, that while a dB or two louder, arguably gives better...

So copyright and trademark law is fun. While unusual, there are definitely several things that one wouldn't think as trademarkable, such as colors, patterns, and fonts, but there are definitely examples of places where companies have sued over these things and have won. Color: DEERE & CO. v...

Realistically speaking, what do you guys have that utilizes USB 3.2 that is so critical that you could never tolerate to use 3.1 or reach around back/get a hub? I'm perfectly content with USB 3.1 or even 2 speeds, especially on a front panel. While I prefer Type C as it's the port of the...

So that's a known issue for international shipment. KSliger is working on getting international retailers/whatever to help reduce cost. Interested to hear an update on that progress though @KSliger

Based on previous discussion with Ksliger, my current plan for 2x280mm rad cooling is Top with rad+fans and bottom with internal rad and external slim fans and fan cover. While not the *most* ideal setup, it should be more than adequate for most builds. Ideally I'll be running a temp setup with...

My one concern is latency due to trace length. NVLink is designed with very tight tolerancing in order to achieve such high throughout. Unfortunately I don't have an NVLink bridge to take a look at though. At least not yet.

The reason is that you have to have a PLX clock buffer chip and supporting electronics on board, which the PLX chip is pretty expensive. The PCIE Gen 2 version is $22 at 100 units, and I don't know the Gen3 version off the top of my head, but I imagine it would cost even more...

IIRC Dan uses a commercial software, don't think it's solid works (Edit: it is), but a key will likely cost over $1,000 US. Here's a list of different CAD software, with the ones in blue being free to use. If you use it a lot, only then would I consider a commercial solution...
