Does no one make an adapter from a CRPS server PSU to ATX?

Yes the breakout boards from Parallel Miner etc would be the 1st choice but the main problem is that they usually have too many PCIe outlets and no ATX for us SFF builders :p I also saw this — “the CRPS 550W / 800W redundant power supply comes with an adapter that allows it to become the...

You can try and jig a XSPC TX240 + 2x NF-A12x15 in the bottom, without a top hat / mATX module, + slim 280 radiator on the side. Choice of the bottom radiator depends on the thickness of the EK block, as more recent ones are no longer 1-slot but slightly more.

Update: You only have 12mm when the motherboard tray is not tensioned by the weight of the board, the safe value is 10mm. You could comfortably fit a normal (low-profile) SSD heatsink with a self-adhesive thermal pad. If the drive still runs hot then try to use the side panel as heatsink. There...

Seller has agreed to replace all problematic parts so I guess that’s the silver lining! I managed to almost complete the build but the design is kind of in the way with my goal of building a custom loop with 3x 280mm radiators. Top & Bottom Hats were needed and it is tricky to re-fit side...

Cooling What's better? thin rad + regular fan or regular rad + slim fan?

IMO surface area is important. A 280mm radiator has 36% more surface area than a 240 radiator. Main issue with slim 140mm fans is that most of them have 120mm mounting holes. Also, it is worth considering what sort of components will be used and what level of noise are you prepared to tolerate.

Also… FYI… There is 12mm from the top of the motherboard standoffs to the inside of the side panel, so essentially there is 12mm from the backside of the motherboard into which you can fit M.2 SSDs with heatsinks Internal motherboard tray is 4mm thick

Delivery arrived and complaint sent to Superbuy on the same day… I do not know how this happened. Maybe something was bent during shipping? If you are buying via them, make sure to request detailed photos in these problem areas.

I asked my agent to ask the seller for that. Paid additional 50 RMB (The socket is not custom, so I suppose you can get the fine folks @ Pexon PCs to build you one if you already have the case.)

Mine has shipped domestically (within China) this weekend, roughly 2 weeks after order. It is now en route to UK. Regarding the design of this case, there is only one annoying issue which is that due to the construction of the case, any radiator wider than 140mm can not fit properly in the top...

Discussion custom water loop in itx case: 1 x 280 rad or 2 x 120 rad

Loop order wouldn’t matter much if you don’t have a lot of components. With 2x120 you have more tubing to route as well.

Motherboard Problems with x570 and USB

It’s broken indeed. I run all USB devices off a Thunderoblt 3 dock now, not an issue. All workarounds imperfect with unacceptable trade-offs. Best wait for AMD to fix. FYI r/AMD thread

Yes indeed. The other orientation would have worked for a shorter GPU, with the pump occupying the space between the PSU and the bottom fans/radiator. But when I originally designed the build I was going to fit a Radeon VII which is quite a bit longer. The current orientation also has the added...
