Memory Very low profile DDR4 ram

As far as I saw, there are either Nanya or Hinyx dies on the Kingston KVR26N19S8L 2666 MHz VLP RAM. The Nanya seems to be better for overclocking. How do I know (before buying) if the RAM sticks come with Nanya or Hinyx dies?

Black Ridge 120mm Fan vs. Noctua L9a + Fan Duct

Indeed, Alex‘ videos are great! I like his style also. But still no review with fan duct. I really like to see a comparison with and without for example with the Ryzen 3600 or 3700X. I only read about the -5C, but haven‘t seen it in a test.

Memory Very low profile DDR4 ram

Didn‘t you run it with 1.35V ? According to this post this voltage seems to be working for 3600MHz. Does this not work with your mobo? https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/very-low-profile-ddr4-ram.9258/post-193548

Black Ridge 120mm Fan vs. Noctua L9a + Fan Duct

This review is the best I was able to find. However, it has two issues. 1) L9 without fan duct 2) Not a very actual CPU (Ryzen 1700).

Black Ridge 120mm Fan vs. Noctua L9a + Fan Duct

Absolutely, that‘s what I see as well. The Black Ridge with stock fan is trash. And if you replace it with the Noctua 9x14 it‘s better, but not as good as the L9a without the fan duct. The L9a gets even better with fan duct. I only wondering by how much? The only solution which is superior is...

Black Ridge 120mm Fan vs. Noctua L9a + Fan Duct

@dondan I only found reviews for the L9a without the fan duct. Is there a good comparison / review for the L9a in the Dan with and without the fan duct? I read on your site that it should make up to 7 degrees celsius but is there some evidence for that?

Black Ridge 120mm Fan vs. Noctua L9a + Fan Duct

As far as I know, the L9a is even better without fan duct than the Black Ridge with 9x14. Only when you pair the Black Ridge with 120mm fan, it is better.

Black Ridge 120mm Fan vs. Noctua L9a + Fan Duct

Hi @dondan I have two questions about the fan duct (downloadable from the Dan website) for the L9a. 1) Up to which RAM height is the „normal“ fan duct ok? When do you recommend the high RAM fan duct? 2) I can choose between several materials when 3D printing the fan duct. The only two...

Black Ridge 120mm Fan vs. Noctua L9a + Fan Duct

For gaming there should be no difference between 16 and 32 GB. Only the speed of the memory matters. Which RAM are you going for and what other components (motherboard, CPU, GPU) do you have?

Black Ridge 120mm Fan vs. Noctua L9a + Fan Duct

The best option is the 120x15 from Noctua. It‘s available either in the standard color https://noctua.at/en/nf-a12x15-pwm or in black. https://noctua.at/en/nf-a12x15-pwm-chromax-black-swap

    Fits a RTX 3080 ?

That‘s why you could reduce the power by undervolting the GPU. This should reduce noice levels.

    Fits a RTX 3080 ?

Thanks @unknownexception for posting. I‘m wondering how noisy the card is with full game load in the Dan A4? Did you measure it?

Which VLP RAM did you encounter the issues with overclocking and the windows update?

Black Ridge 120mm Fan vs. Noctua L9a + Fan Duct

Back to the main topic. I found a thread discussing VLP memory. Many guys are able to run the VLP with 3600 MHz. For example the Kingston KVR26N19S8L. Here is a very promising post: https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/very-low-profile-ddr4-ram.9258/post-193548 This would mean that the...

Memory Very low profile DDR4 ram

Hi @Syncro do you know if the Kingston sticks are still stable with 3600C16 and the newest Windows updates? I read a post in this thread that with the windows update 2004 the kingston sticks are not running stable anymore. I received my Dan A4 last week and I am still not sure if I should...
