    DAN C4-SFX

Dunno if this is a water cooling taboo, or if it just wouldn't make any sense . . . but I'm imagining a 3080FE, classic layout, top mounted, with side-mounted radiator. The fan closest to the rear IO on the card is pulling from the top and exhausting blower-style out the case. The second fan...

I'm having a difficult time interpreting the 3090... is it supposed to replace the Titan, or the **80 TI? Or both?

Welp. I guess I'll wait for the 3080. Looks like everything is dual-slot, minus the 3090. Thankfully.

Completed SLATE-CASE AQ >>Status Update - Finalizing Order Fulfillments!

I did a quick mock-up in SketchUp of the layout within the rough dimensions and I feel like this is perfect for a dual X-flow (alphacool) 240mm custom loop; it would look super clean with minimal effort. One of the benefits of the PSU layout relative to the other components is that the GPU...

    DAN C4-SFX

Semi-silent reader here. I chimed in on occasion on the last thread. Been following this chassis for a few years now. I decided a long time ago that this case is my next build and I have no problem waiting. I actually appreciate Dan's perfectionism and patience with his development process. I...

XD I agree with you, but at the same time I'm like "what C4?" It's still just an idea. There was a prototype. But that was a loooot of pages and potential design changes ago. Good things come to those who wait I guess.

Production SENTRY 2.0: Evolution of console-sized gaming PC case

I have a hard time imagining it wouldn't hit the RAM slots.

Production SENTRY 2.0: Evolution of console-sized gaming PC case

I had a thought about putting the HDPLEX up against the wall at the edge of the GPU with a 267mm PCB. EDIT: SUPER rough sketch

Production SENTRY 2.0: Evolution of console-sized gaming PC case

I'm hoping to see if anyone decides they want both a full-sized GPU and that AIO. I think with some pretty basic modding you could get an HDPLEX in there and potentially squeeze a 120 where the PSU was.

@dondan Have you given any thought to HDPLEX mounting?

    DAN C4-SFX - old

@dondan I'm concerned about loop routing in the flex version (especially sandwich config) since you will be unable to place the radiator where the out/inlets won't be blocked by either the PSU or hard riser. I've modeled some mockups with the hardware in the about the correct relative positions...

    DAN C4-SFX - old

My main concern is that doing the flex version will compromise the ability to install water cooling in the sandwich layout. With the flex version, the radiator HAS to be on the GPU side of the mobo. One end of the rad will be blocked by the PSU and the other by the hard riser. Maybe I'm missing...

    DAN C4-SFX - old

I'm definitely intrigued. I think I'll withhold judgment till I can see some more detailed graphics. Having a hard time visualizing. :) EDIT After doing a rough sketch I realized the only way this would work is by placing your rad on the GPU side of the board. Based on some of the plans and...

    DAN C4-SFX - old

I think someone mentioned this earlier, but I feel like a good intermediate step at this point would be to update the first page with the new directions and details associated with them. We've hit 100 pages and there's SO MUCH information scattered across them. For instance, the new C4 sandwich...

    DAN C4-SFX - old

I read posts from people with these huge beefy cards, and I kinda begin to doubt their commitment to the principles of SFF builds. One of the hallmarks of Dan's cases has been compatibility with full-sized hardware. As far as I'm concerned, full-sized = 2 slots, and in my mind, this will be the...
