Well, I can’t quite match the raw specs of many builds, I’ve been working on something “big” for a while. After acquiring an EK annihilator, an S4T-L (made almost entirely of prototype parts lol) and a trusty 500w GaN unit from HDplex my 180mm rad build is just missing the 180mm radiator.
I’ve...
I'm an ITX-only kind of guy, and I have both of my endgame cases.
For the most uncompromising builds, the S4T-L with an internal loop should be capable of running anything. A 180x180mm rad, ITX and full GPU support (Sub 230mm PCBs) in 6.6L is the dream.
For a more humble and portable setup...
I got lucky and bought one used from someone who no longer needed his. Now that I have one on hand, I'm toying with the idea of making a custom top out of copper in the same vein as petricor and stanleyguan did for the 4090 block. I'd absolutely love to work with the modultra lobo guys, as they...
I finally managed to source an annihilator, so rereading this thread and (most) of the 2080 Ti/3090 adventures was a must! There will be a dedicated thread at a later date, but I’d like to throw this up here so that any new people can see that it’s still possible to do all sorts of watercooled...
That would be interesting to see! By the way, an old post of yours saved my bacon today, used the NVcleaninstall you linked to get a stubborn P5000 to work on a z370 STX!
Really impressed with your solution to the cpu cooler, but have you seen the IS-30K? Might be a quieter alternative, although it's 30mm as opposed to your very slick 25
The noctua 4010 is also rather anemic, a sunon maglev or even noiseblocker should give a decent improvement. Whether that would be enough, I don't know but something to consider!
I'll hop in now that my S4T build has coalesced i7 6700 + MXM GTX 1070 on a b250m m-stx motherboard. Case is an S4T from NFC systems, 3.3L volume with an internal hdplex300w
Scores are:
((5053 * 5246)/(3.3^1.5))/100 = 55,551
((5053 * 133.64)/(3.3^1.5))/100 = 1503
