    Powering up PCI-E riser

    Answer would be better than advice :D Your links do not contain any information about 12V pins localization on PCI-e socket (on soldering side).

    Powering up PCI-E riser

    Hello there Need an advice which pins on PCI-e riser should be connected (soldered) to an external 12V power source. Are these six pins marked in the attached picture correct? I guess @Aibohphobia and @QinX know something :)

    It is impossible to connect gpu directly to the adapter because of not enough space. I'm using adapter from delock: LINK It's powered by two bricks, 12V/5A and 3.3V (yes, whole rig is powered by 3 bricks :D) and it seems that they do the job - with bricks connected gpu fan spins, and without...

    @Aibohphobia, have You tried to connect gpu without powering M/2 adapter by 3.3v? I have it connected only to 12v, an GPU doesn't give a signal. Can the lack of 3.3v cause it?

    From specs they promise 4% voltage accuracy (11.52V - 12.48V) I've sent them question about the ripple.

    @Aibohphobia Have You compared GTX1060 performance between PCI-E x16 and M.2/x4? GPU-Z shows x4 3.0 or x4 2.0 operation while connected to the M.2 port throught adapter?

    You can try some buck (step-down) DC-DC converter like this one: http://kimgrity.com/dcdc-converter-c-1/dcdc-buck-converter-c-1_41/dcdc-power-converter-17v40v-24v-to-12v-fixed-voltage-output-6a-waterproof-p-241.html or this one...
