Revisiting this topic after having several months away - I just want to say good effort for the constant updates here! When I searched last year, I was only able to get my hands on a 400W flexATX, but after a quick search online today there are several 500W units on sale. Despite the high price...
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get a consensus on the most popular PC colour schemes. I'll use the results to help me decide the final choice for my next games-console PC case. Please feel free to visit the following link and vote on your favourites.

Hey there! tips from me.
Avoid the cheap unshielded cables. From my experience their use is 'inconsistent'. 3M is thin but expensive. I have a 50 cm one myself. I've also had good success with with Li-Heat cables. The right-angle ended ones are particularly useful - and not as expensive as the...
That's actually a typo. The length of the case is still the same as the standard (about 412mm). I have a 1060 GTX which I can share some temps for, but I would say that I'm not sure of the physical size of the 1070's, the heat sink on those might be too large for the case.
Side note: I've run a...
Custom Case: play3r.net Update
Another small update. I created a custom orange and white Diesel Engine case for the guys at play3r.net. It was a great exercise to see the flexibility of colour schemes that can be applied to the existing design. Here's how it went...
You can catch...
That space is only 85mm wide, so you wouldn't be able to fit a 3.5" drive in there, sorry. (those drives are about 106mm wide). Tracked postage to the US is currently working out as about £20 (I shipped a couple there recently).
Diesel Engine v2 Update
Hey - A small update. After finishing the case I wanted to expand the support for different hardware in the case, specifically for the graphics card. Many people asked me about whether I had tried nVidia cards and expressed indifference towards the expensive AMD R9...
Hey - I haven't tested other graphics cards yet. The Nano is about 150mm and the fit is pretty tight. I think you could go up to about 170-180mm, but yeah, you'd have to make some changes to that corner.
Sorry yeah - you are actually right ( i was at work earlier today and didn't have the console in front of me) the height is 67mm (50mm internal height + lid + base + feet). Let me update my post.
Woah - Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate the support / feedback. I'm still not sure which is my favourite :)
Dimensions - with the case feet, the black + Antique ones are at about: H - 67mm, L - 412mm, D - 206mm. The modern one is 6mm shorter in height.
Final Pics + On Sale
I'm Done! So - In the end I made 3 cases: The Antique One, The Black One, The Modern One. Additionaly, something I didn't mention before. I actually ordered 20 cases along with 20 Premium Shielded Li-Heat riser cables to go with those cases.
From today, I'm super happy to...
Great stuff. Thanks for the feedback! I think the glass-like perspex makes it, it's really cool stuff.
So, the power button switch mechanism is a (cheap) standard switch. I took photos of it earlier in the thread if you saw those. I then needed to laser a piece of small plastic to fit onto the...
