I already have a Meshlicious now, but that doesn't mean I can't keep an eye on how other interesting projects are proceeding.

    Resubscribed, sounds interesting.

Thanks for the reply! I think this is definitely an improvement compared to an all-covered design, and I get you want things to look nice, but I still believe it is causing more issues than it is solving. If you simply had a passthrough window at the back like the Meshlicious and SV540, you'd...

Any new updates for us? I've been thinking of this case lately. Edit: Seems that others are noticing it as well, but the restrictive rear IO situation seems to be a common complaint. Wouldn't it be better to just have a gap in the rear panel to pass cables through, rather than a dedicated...

Production Meshlicious - 14.5L Vertical, 280AIO mainstream case

Wouldn't fit - even a 92mm x 14mm fan is relatively tight. With some careful spacing I could maybe see a 120mm x 15mm fan working but I haven't checked or measured for that.

Can't wait to see more of this case. My Meshlicious is a bit toasty and my parts aren't taking undervolts well, so I'd love to see how cool they can get in an AQ.

Sorry, I should've been more clear - this isn't my build but was posted by sff.build on instagram.

It may be a bit larger than the W1 for similar hardware but damn if this doesn't look clean:

To a point, I agree. I think it's fair to expect the Slate to be about 1-2L larger than similar cases because of the cleaner cable solution. That said, it doesn't change the compatibility of the box itself once that's removed from the equation. For example, even if we took off that 1L for the...

Agreed, I'd also like to know this. If the Meshlicious can support a 280mm rad and full-size fans in 14.5L, the Slate Air should be able to support the same in 15.4L (1L larger), no? For that matter, if the Winter One can support 2x280mm radiators and full-size fans in 15.6L, the Slate AQ...

@TaylorChiller I'm no influencer, and I'm sure you've received plenty of interest in building in the Slate AQ, but I have a build I've recently completed in the Meshlicious and would happy to do a direct comparison/review of the AQ with the same components if you're looking for anything like...

Production Meshlicious - 14.5L Vertical, 280AIO mainstream case

I have the 3080 Ti FTW3 and it's silent under normal operation. Even under gaming load, I find my AIO fans (NZXT Z63 stock AER-P fans) get louder than my GPU fans do. Just make sure it's not right up against the mesh since it may make it work harder than it needs to to bring the cool air in.

I wish the AQ were closer to 16-17 L but I realise the dual rads need the extra room. Having a second set of fans will probably help temps a lot, too. Keeping my eyes out for the preorder.
