Very little space indeed. I tried a few different configs and just had to play with it. I was using a Corsair H90 I think. I basically just rotated the part that mounts to the CPU until there was no slack. I'm not sure what the layout of the S401 is looking like. It might fit even better because...
Yeah, I believe the OP of that thread fit the uhp-200 in his S4M (skyreach) perfectly. The S4M-C, however, is a different story. I had to file down certain parts of it, but it works fine.
I wish I could have done some custom length cables, but it turned out pretty nice. Super quiet as well!
Thanks! It was really fun planning and drilling the holes for mounting.
Amazon should have fairly cheap heat shrink tubing kits. They make small ones that should slip over the wire before soldering the connection. I think a hair dryer would work ok with shrinking that small of tubing, but I usually just use a lighter.
Selling a brand new/never used 12 pin G-Unique Archdaemon Limited Edition.
The build I was going to use this for fell through, so I'm not needing it anymore. See info below!
Wire lengths:
(All black wires; see pictures below)
CPU 4+4 - 20 cm
SATA (1) - 35 cm
12 pin DC - 30 cm
2 PCI-e - 50 cm...
Perfect size, definitely! You can get the 24V UHP-200-24 and that would probably work.
As far as a guide, you could probably ask around. I'm sure you can wire up the positive and negative wires to the meanwell easily. That's what I did with a gunique psu.
That would be a question for the maker on his discord. I haven't seen too many orders come through requesting molex cables, but I'm sure it can be done. I'm pretty sure he could also solder a 6 pin pci-e cable from the Archdaemon as well.
I'm not sure what has happened your case, but something blew in my GTX 970 mini a month ago or so. The fan ran at what I guess would be close to 100%. Could not control RPM at all. I pulled off the shroud and stuck a 92mm Noctua fan on it and it was way more quiet. I still can't control the RPM...
