Production REVOCCASES - RCC-MID1 | industrial style case with 180mm fan and rad support

Nice design! Interested to see where the cost lands. If I've got it right the Silverstone 180 fans need to be exhausting so that the fan guard is on the outside? For a vertical arrangement I guess one fan exhausting at the top would be almost ideal anyway but not sure how horizontal with two...

    Accessory In search for speakers...

Upside down or sideways probably okay but may not be ideal for imaging, why would you want to? Other options although at the more expensive end... KEF Egg - may be able to find a deal or used as been around a while. Ruark MR1 - I've been lusting after for a while, if my Harman Kardon Nova 2...

choosing wright psu for itx build

Should have started by saying I think there is a video which goes over power options for the S4M so the NFC videos probably the best place to start. A hdplex 400W dc-atx plus external dell 330w brick is a common option and more than enough power for that build. You would likely be okay even...

    SKYREACH 4 MINI (S4M)

Have just gone brick-less with the hdplex 200W AC/DC + dynamo mini (was already using the dynamo) so thought I'd share some of the experience. Build is with an undervolted i5 6500 so CPU side not an issue to keep cool. In the process I changed from an EVGA 1060 to a Gigabyte 1070 (for a good...

    S4MAX: Brickless S4M w/ 3090 FE and R9 5950x - 800W, 5l, water cooled

Wow, awesome stuff! Hope it all comes together well. Inspired me to order a hdplex ac-dc to finally get rid of the external brick tethered to my S4M. I reckon thermals will be alright though the loop will obviously run warm and need decent fan speed at load, good to see it's arranged...

Will a HDPlex 200w support this build?

Welcome to the forum! You'll be fine with the 200W with that build. Only reason to go with the 400W would be to give more scope for future upgrades. To add... I run an i5 6500 (65W) and GTX 1060 (120W) on the old 160W dc-atx with no real issue. I believe some tried the old 160W ac-dc as well...

HD plex 160w ac-dc blew a thermistor... Need help

Get in touch with hdplex, they are super helpful! Are you sure everything was connected up right? Power draw at start up isn't that high so doubt that would be the issue - it sounds like it went pretty much immediately?

Power Supply HDPlex 400W AC-DC Adapter

Interesting! With a 200W rating I assume it should perform a bit better than the old 160W? My GTX1060 build runs great using a Dell 330+Dynamo Mini. I was tempted by the 400W AC-DC but it's a bit too much money / effort to justify, while the 160W AC-DC seemed like it might be a bit of a...

    Help with undervolting?

I would just set it at -100mV and see if it's stable overtime. I always used x264, if it ran okay for one hour then okay, back off a little and see how it goes. Unless you are very thermally / power limited I wouldn't stress about trying to dial in the absolute lowest voltage.

    Dynamo Mini - Ryzen 3 3300/GTX 1660 Ti

I think it really comes down to if you're willing to live with undervolting or not. Just wanted to add my experience with a GTX1060 as I found reducing GPU power limits didn't impact performance as much as might be expected - though probably somewhat card dependent in terms of how well it...

Concept How much space does a fan need to suck air properly?

Seem to remember reading about this before somewhere but can't find it now... Looking at the SG06 and SG13 with solid front panels they probably have around 15mm. The solid panels do cool a bit worse than the mesh versions though (and those cases are open on the sides). Complete guess but to...

Mini-Splash, about a Gallon water cooled SFF gaming PC

Cool! Pump will be fine, it uses the alphacool dc-Lt which I used before with a 4790 and r9 290, with quick disconnects as well. Rad I think should be okay (I remember seeing 780's on single 120's) just nothing special in terms of temps.

    Freezing Help

Hi all Have got a difficult to pin down problem so appreciate any help... PC is freezing (ie power stays on, display stays on but no response at all) fairly regularly. It has happened under load but also without, and even in the bios. Once it freezes then it becomes difficult to boot again...
