    Production ONE2 DISTRO 400 - A 12V Power distribution board

Hey there, just made an interesting observation and was wondering if that could be of relevance to your product too. When I set up my meanwell rps-200 with a load switch for the 4-pin CPU header, I was quite surprised when I saw that my system actually started up without the load switch being...

Yeah, I guess you would have to mod the case and cut away the hole section with the power adapter cut outs :D Well, I guess it's only a theoretical fit.. or, as I mentioned, it might fit in the front. If your gpu is short enough.. like 175 mm max

I'm not quite sure if I fully understand you. There is no need for an extra C13 connector. It's already integrated in the psu. Sorry, for hijacking the thread :/

    Production ONE2 DISTRO 400 - A 12V Power distribution board

did anyone ever try to squeeze one of those into the s4m? https://www.supermicro.com/products/nfo/power_supply.cfm?pg=PWS&type=5054mm#type could fit in front with a 1060 mini or even along the sides but probably requires some modding with a length of 220 mm...

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

Just one thing to mind: I think I read somewhere in the datasheet that the different heatsinks of the meanwell must not be electrically connected. EDIT: Just confirmed. "HS1, HS2, HS3, HS4 can not be shorted"

If you can't wait for the One2, have a clean 12v power supply and a soldering iron you can just source the 12v for GPU and CPU directly from the PSU. Than, once the one2 arrives, you can clean it all up :D

You mean integrated as in the One2 and Plugin Unit in one piece?

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

Yes, that is exactly what we were talking about :D Nice to see it actually works! Why do you have 12 AWG wires on your direct plug unit? I think the One2 takes all the wattage. There shouldn't be more than 10 W be going to your direct plug unit. You can just desolder them and put longer smaller...

    Production ONE2 DISTRO 400 - A 12V Power distribution board

Ok, so i caught up reading all the threads on different projects and options on PSUs in the SFF world. At least I believe so. Someone really should make something like a summary of what's out there. It gets really confusing really fast. :D @Thehack this board looks extremely useful. As I'm...

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

@Thehack Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. Cool, I'll see if I get the chance to try it out. I feel like a ssr tends to require quite a bit of space. I was thinking about using one of those cheap mosfet boards of ebay. they go for like 1 $ and are rated for 400 W with heatsinking even...

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

I don't. I only pass through the 5 VSB and ground from the MW directly to the mainboard. That is enough for the mainboard to pull down on PS_ON which I connect to the mw PS_ON through an inverter IC. In that regard the EPP-400 is already nearly a full fledged PC PSU except for not having the...

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

I just did some testing and my old mainboard was fine with just ground and the 5 VSB to pull down on PS_ON when i push the power button. So I don't see why I would need the 12 V to be on for this circuit to work. Do you know if V- is connected to DC_COM on the MW? Is V- ground even when the psu...

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

Hm, I think I might give it a try if I get my hands on an EPP-300-12. Modding a DCDB shouldn't be too hard. Inverting the signal should be possible with a simple 74HC04 in between, or not? For my project I will use a EPP-200-12 so I will have to design a a bit more sophisticated circuit with an...

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

Thanks for the reply! I was thinking for example about the dynamic current load ripple which is not quite that good. Also the ripple limits for the 5, 3.3, -12 and 5VSB lines are lower at 50mV. I guess a DC-DC board will be responsible to reach that, but did anyone have a chance to test that...

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

Hey guys, just discovered this forum. Great source of knowledge and ideas. I'm building a SFF system and when looking for small PSUs were astonished how little options there are, especially if you want to go brickless. Now I came across this EPP-200-12 option which is looking nearly a little bit...
