Production FormD-T1 (aka Sidearmd), READ FIRST POST

But 4 is bigger than 3 and I want it nooooow! /s Seriously though, the "slight improvement" is exactly that, slight. Even most consumer PCIe4 NVMe SSDs only utilize the bandwidth for about 5 seconds before they reach the limit of their cache and throttle back down to where PCIe3 is more than...

Prototype CPU waterblock-pump mount combo (115x/AM4 compatible)

Definitely interested in giving a custom water loop a go with one.

Concept Salvo Studios S402: ~9L Steel Console Style Case

I've also utilized both and found that in general dual (or triple) axial fan coolers will provide better GPU temperatures at a lower noise level than their blower counterparts. This is simply due to the fact that axial fans not only move more air at a lower RPM than their radial counterparts...

Production MJOLNIR: The minimalistic – but not boring – 9.7L Case

It might be useful for some to know what camera and settings you used as well; focus, exposure, light levels can all have a pretty distinct impact on the way metallics look in photos.

Concept Salvo Studios S402: ~9L Steel Console Style Case

Gotcha, I've been a holdout for the S700 and just happen to have a couple A6's in a different rack mounted rig.

Concept Salvo Studios S402: ~9L Steel Console Style Case

I've never had any issues with the A6x25 pwm, particularly at around 1500-1800 RPM where I usually cap them. Were the complaints regarding noise or cooling efficacy?

Interesting tool you have there 😂

Prototype Knarr: ~12L case with a focus on liquid cooling and aesthetics

Looks fantastic, can't wait to see a test build out.

Log SMALLEST ATX CASE : CERBERUS-X (Complete build log)

With the added fan on the backside, it would seem that a normal or console (non-sandwich) style layout might be the preferred one this GPU generation; at least for the founders addition.

Prototype Piece of Sheet - dirt cheap 7.5 L, SFX, 10.5" GPU, AIO 92

Just needs a little perforation to breath, and I'd say you've got yourself a solid case.

Prototype Knarr: ~12L case with a focus on liquid cooling and aesthetics

Out of curiosity, what would be the ballpark price given their low volume estimate?

Prototype CPU waterblock-pump mount combo (115x/AM4 compatible)

You are correct in that outside-in vs inside-out would be fundamentally the same, but you'd need a really deep tank to get any appreciable pressure. 30ft of depth would get you ~13psi (~1 bar). This would probably be the absolute minimum pressure I'd be willing to certify to in order to provide...

Prototype CPU waterblock-pump mount combo (115x/AM4 compatible)

Definitely an inexpensive partial solution. However, the issue with this is that during operation the fluid will be pressurized, which could result in leaks that your test wouldn't catch at ambient pressure.

Prototype CPU waterblock-pump mount combo (115x/AM4 compatible)

My understanding in the industrial cooling sector, is that the testing is done with air pressure and not water. Basically, they seal the outlet, and then pump air into the component though a pressure gauge until reaching 3-4x the standard water pressure. Then they seal the inlet of the pressure...

Prototype CPU waterblock-pump mount combo (115x/AM4 compatible)

I was thinking about how you might certify the units against leaks, and in many industrial applications it usually boils down to a pressure test on a unit by unit basis. Understandably, this becomes tricky for a product like this given the multiple pump blocks and vast number of potential...
