I place a piece of black electrical friction tape lengthwise over the red area, and then one layer wrapped around the cable to hold things snug. I had the same problem with USB current overload, it went away after applying the tape. I didn't think to snap an after photo.

You will definitely want the custom mods for the wiring, and I would suggest the Noctua fan for the power supply to keep it cool and quiet. I went with the Noctua Nh-L9a-AM4 in chromax black for my 5700x as I've used it in a few builds and found it to keep things cool and quiet.
