My HDPlex GAN I just bought makes a strange ticking noise (not any of the PC fans I’ve checked). Has anyone else has this issue? Made a real quiet SFF build and this noise is jarring due to it sounding like a loose wire clipping on a fan feintly. In previous build using different but same model of HDPLEX GAN (250) same type of components did not have this noise.

I have no idea what this could be but you can always email HDPLEX about it. They are quick to respond usually.
Try filming/isolating the noise and send them a link to the video (I would also would like to hear it).

If it bothers you that much and is really present, from the PS, you should pull the PS and bench-test it for the same sound, (Ground power-on circuit) you will have to put some type of load on the PS assuming it happens under extreme loading. What are the components of the machine that load the PS currently? You would have to bench test with a different board to prove it is load-related under an OS.
