Thermalright Frozen Edge 240 weights 1395 g - which is nearly the same as the be quiet SL 2 280 (which weighs roughly 1420 g, including fans, and one of them replaced with a 120 mm Silent Wing 4 HS + Noctua 120 to 140 adapter frame + Noctua Y-Splitter). cu, w0lf.

Motherboard Moving from ASUS B760 I to z790, etc...advice needed on best modest price MB

BTW: Information I just dug up from the Asrock homepage: "*Supports PCIe riser cards to extend one x16 slot to two x8 slots" - which means the board supports PCIe Bifurcation. And yeah, I'm currently considering buying it myself - because the A4 H2O should be on its way, and I will be testing...

Ordered the A4 H2O from caseking yesterday night. DHL tracking already received, if I'm very lucky, its going out today and arrives tomorrow. So the next project is trying to fit a be quiet Silent Loop 2 280 on the GPU side. What should be arriving in the next few hours, is the Thermalright...

Production CATAPULTCASE - Fully Modular ITX Cases (3.2L to 11.6L)

What I'd actually love to see is: 280 mm radiator support (not necessarly AIO, but that would be swell, too). My research shows some of the possibly smallest ones, but availability is kinda meh for anything below 14L. cu, w0lf.

    Log HDPLEX 500W GaN support 12V-2x6? + 525W ok?

Like, you dont run all of this simultanously. Also, synthetic benchmarks are no real life situation. Eg. with an all-core encode, its just the CPU being challenged, and a bit of the RAM. Or with gaming, your GPU wont typically pull all the 265W (and with a bit of fine-tuning, eg. UV, it wont...

SFF.Network UPDATED: CORSAIR Launches the ONE i500 PC

Well, my guess with their press photos etc. they aim it more at the 3D-AI-Media worker with occassional bouts of gaming? Alas, the complete setup feels so entirely wrong to me - why wouldnt you set it up similar to a Meshlicious, with a rotated mainboard at best? Whenever I see this fancy but...

    Enclosure ZS Cases ZS-A4S V4/ZS-A4YTX

Lets not forget about the SGPC K49, thats 6.9L, and would also be an easy fit. cu, w0lf.

So I've chosen option a) get a 240 AIO. Thermalright Frozen Edge should arrive on Friday. Then we do a test build on Saturday (which is when the next batch of NT-H2 is supposed to arrive). But also option d) aka trying to fit a 280 AIO side-mounted in the A4-H2O. I'd have loved to go for the...

    Advice Sliger S610 or A4-H2O?

my main concern isnt really the build quality, more like the space / ventilation. As long as it aint the shoddy quality of the early 90s or some of the current "AMD pre-builds", all is well :) So, reading your reply, I guess the main issue with the S610 is GPU height / width? In terms of...

    Advice Sliger S610 or A4-H2O?

So the question is, which case is better, esp. with thermals, or at least achieving better thermals, IF I was to install a 280 mm AIO / rad, side-mounted: Dan Case A4-H2O or the Sliger S610? Yes, I'm aware that the H2O doesnt natively support side-mounted radiators, but I've seen a few builds...

    Enclosure 280 rad / AIO-supporting cases?

So I've been looking around for a bit, but the number of cases that support 280 mm radiators (even with simple hacks), are like .. an absolutely rarety. Cases I've found so far: a) with direct support: - NR200P - 18 - 20L (disputed) - Sliger S610 - 13.3L - Sliger S620 - 16.3L - Sliger SV540 -...

SFF.Network Press Release: CORSAIR Pushes PC Fan Performance Further with the 30mm Thick RS MAX Series

vs. 29.89 (cheapest on geizhals) for a single Phanteks T30, which goes brrrrr with up to 3000 rpm (vs. the max 2000 rpm of the Corsair). 3x pack is 84,37 Euro (geizhals). Oh, and if its about 140 mm, there always is the Arctic P14 Max, which starts at 16,90 Euro (5x pack not available yet)...

I feel like, more and more, leaning towards traditional, classic layout. Specifically for liquid cooling, this seems to be the better option. Why? If I could easily convert one of the sandwich-layout cases I own to classic orientation layout, I would instantly be able to easily install a 280 mm...

Log mATX SFF, research / prep work + intermediate build (Mesh-mATX)

Insanity slowly creeping in: A very different option ("wenn ich total pervers bin") would be to install the GPU on top; that'd involve doing a deshroud, eg. with a 4070, and then add a slim 140 at the back part, and two standard-sized 120 mm fans on top of the case (outside). Detachable, so when...

Other option would be to just get a 4060 LP. That'd immediately solve both problems: a) 69 mm width = fits easily aside a 280 radiator inside the Meshroom S b) 40 mm height = fits easily inside the S400, with a 280 radiator on top / bottom, and no need to cut up the middle frame cu, w0lf.
