KFA2/Galax Release their SNPR eGPU

At Computex this year, we previewed the GALAX SNPR eGPU, a GTX1060 based external graphics unit. ASRock Micro-STX updates (GTX 1080 is working!)

When ASRock unveiled the DeskMini GTX back at CES they only supported up to the MXM GTX 1060, and when Drew talked with them power delivery concerns were the main holdup for supporting anything higher. ZOTAC announces two GTX 1080 Ti Mini’s!

Not that long ago we reviewed ZOTAC’s GTX 1080 Mini, which set a new bar for SFF GPU horsepower, yet now they’ve outdone themselves by cramming the even beefier GTX 1080 Ti into the same form factor! TechPowerUP has more details, but from the renders we can glean that this new model uses the same heatsink and shroud as the GTX 1080 Mini, so the overall dimensions should be the same at 211mm x 125mm. GT1030s Appear from MSI and Gigabyte

NVIDIA’s first ‘new’ sub **50 cards in an age (since the GT210/610, etc were just rebrands!) have started to appear, with both MSI and Gigabyte showing off some interesting variants of the GPU intended to compete with AMD’s RX-550 line. All are based on NVIDIA’s Pascal GP108-300 core, produced on a 16nm FinFET process. Each card has 384 CUDA cores, 24 TMUs and 8 ROPs. Also identical across the cards is the RAM- 2GBs of DDR5 1750MHz (7000MHz effective), with 56GB/s bandwidth. GALAX GTX 1070 KATANA single-slot in stock!

GALAX showed off a single-slot GTX 1070 late last year, but unlike their vaporware single-slot designs from previous GPU generations, this one has actually become reality and is now in stock on GALAX’s web store! The specs on this card are pretty impressive considering the form factor. Despite the smaller heatsink and thinner blower fan compared to normal double-slot thickness cards, the KATANA still ships in a slightly overclocked configuration, with a base clock of 1518MHz and a boost clock of boost clock 1708MHz.
