ASRock E350M1 AMD Fusion Mini-ITX Motherboard

We bent the rules a couple of days ago to show you a preview of the new Gigabyte E350V-USB3 motherboard for the new AMD Fusion Brazos platform. While they’re still bent, we’re going to sneak in another preview, this time from ASRock, that they’re calling the E350M1. Although this motherboard won’t be on any enthusiasts short-list for a new mini-ITX gaming system, these new Fusion-based boards are surprisingly capable for a low power solution. The ASRock E350M1 popped up on a Vietnamese website about a month ago, complete with multiple photos and a few benchmarking results. The site claimed 3798 …

Intel’s Take on Sandy Bridge Mini-ITX: DH67CF

With just days left until official announcements at CES 2011, it look like the details of Intel’s take on Sandy Bridge mini-ITX motherboards has popped up on a few German sites. Known as the Intel DH67CF, the board appears to have all the basics covered. The one oddity being reported concerns the RAM support on the board. The DH67CF provides two DDR3 slots for 240-pin modules at up to 1333 MHz. The specs released so far claim a maximum capacity of 16 GB, double what we’ve come to expect from other mini-ITX boards. We’ll have to wait until the official …

Gigabyte GA-E350V-USB3 AMD Fusion Motherboard

We might have to bend the rules just a little bit in order to claim that the new Gigabyte GA-E350V-USB3 motherboard for the AMD Fusion platform is a mini-ITX gaming motherboard, but with all the hype recently surrounding Intel and the new Sandy Bridge platform, it’s easy to forget that AMD has a new product line in the works. They’re calling it an Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) and Gigabyte has just released details on the first mini-ITX motherboard to support the new “Zacate” APU. Although not officially launched, the specs have been released. We say “bend” the rules because, although …

Adata’s XPG DDR3L 1600G SO-DIMM

With our tally of DIMM to SO-DIMM mini-ITX motherboards standing at five-to-one, finding DDR3-1600 memory modules won’t be a problem for most ITX gamers. There’s a wide selection of 240-pin DDR3 modules to choose from. But what if you, like yours truly, are leaning toward the one? The ASUS P8H67-I. The sole Sandy Bridge H67 ITX motherboard that requires the smaller 204-pin SO-DIMM. Fear not, it looks like Adata has got you covered. In our Mini-ITX Memory Matters article a couple of weeks ago, we pointed out that NewEgg offers a grand total of one choice when it comes to 1600MHz …

Foxconn’s First ITX Gaming Motherboard: H67S

It now looks like even the world’s largest manufacturer of electrical components is after a piece of the high-end mini-ITX motherboard market. Foxconn has posted a new product on their website, the H67S, a mini-ITX motherboard for the Intel Sandy Bridge platform. This board marks Foxconn’s first direct attempt at a gaming capable mini-ITX platform. Aside from a few apparent misprints on the website, like the one that indicates that the H67S supports 4 DIMMs and 16 GB of memory, Foxconn’s newest mini-ITX motherboard seems to come up a bit wanting in the light of other Sandy Bridge ITX options. …

Gigabyte GA-H67N-USB3 Sandy Bridge Motherboard

A couple of weeks ago we mentioned that Gigabyte was working on a follow up to their highly successful GA-H55N-USB3 mini-ITX motherboard. The details of the new LGA1155 board are just starting to trickle out, including this photo posted on a Swedish website, and it appears that the new Sandy Bridge mini-ITX board from Gigabyte will be known as the GA-H67N-USB3. Gigabyte’s new GA-H67N-USB3 looks very similar to its LGA1156 predecessor. The main feature added to the new H67N-USB3 is support for the SATA 3.0 standard, courtesy of the new Intel H67 chipset, allowing speeds up to 6Gbps. To make …
