Sounds a little optimistic .I'd love something similar, but without audio. With something of that caliber, I'd rather go with a quality USB DAC.I share all the other requirements, SATA must die ! At least, drop a mini SAS HD if SATA is needed, it provides 4x Data from a single connector.
