Will my SF450 run a Ryzen 7 3700x and 2070 super?

Hi just need a quick answer I guess. Am upgrading my current node build with a new mobo and chip. Will I need to upgrade my psu as well? Hoping not to as money is tight right now. I am undervolting my cpu as well. thanks so much

I think the SF450 is ok.

I personally like to have an overpower in my PSU, because when less work to the PSU less heat in the system, and in any itx system the heat is a very important factor.

And obviuslly a SFF PSU is smallest and in same wattage than a standart PSU the SFF PSU heat more.

You will be more than fine. I’m running a 3700x with 2060 itx and it pulls about 280w from the wall with an SF450 platinum.

You can take the TDP of your 2070 super. Its about 215w. The TDP of the 3700x is different. The cpu can take about 150w. In very way you are not even close to the 450w and the psu can offer you up to 550w.

Not sure where or how you came up with 150w for the 3700x but mine has never exceeded ~90-95w total usage. Typical usage is about 80-86w.

Regardless, 450 is plenty
