Whitelion Intro

Hey sff.network,

I am whitelion from Australia, and am making the transition from my ATX mid tower to a sff PC.

I built my first PC at the end of 2018 and end of my engineering degree, wanting an ATX motherboard, as I continue learning, i can keep my options open. Nearly two years later, I want to reduce the size of my personal computer, as I have my workstation for work purely, and I can keep my personal pc with me as I may be moving around for work in the near future.

My first build- https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/9gGzdm

I was fortunate at the time of my first build as I managed to get most parts second hand, in great condition and with some serious negotiating.

After reading through many threads throughout reddit and sff.network, I am in the process of downsizing my peronal pc. The parts I have kept from my first build is the 9700k, Asus STRIX 2080ti Gaming and G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32gb 3200Mhz.

I am aware of the difficulty with the Asus STRIX 2080ti Gaming being a 2.7 slot GPU, but that adds to the challenge of building a sff pc.

If anyone is interested in chatting about anything PC I am happy to chat. Anyone got any good advice or recommendations within sff.network to check out I am all for it.

Looking forward to contributing,

Whitelion

Welcome. 2.7 may not be the most convenient thickness but then again, you can always use a slightly bigger case.

I'll just give a quick, random case name: you can try Sliger SM560.

Like what Phuncz mentioned, visit those sections & you'll see other options.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I have been looking around and yes the SligerSM560 is competing with the Formd T1. Those are the two i have settled on at this point.

Yeah those 2 are pretty OK, you just need to find out which one more suitable with your hardwares or whether you got any specific use case scenarios.

Dan C4-SFX is also a good contender.
