Hey. Yea, I have heard of this tool. To my knowledge it just provides a GUI to enable/disable reg edits and group policies. Win 10 telemetry is somewhat more pervasive than this app is equipped to deal with.

The Federal Office for Information Security (German: Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik, abbreviated as BSI) have written a report on how to mitigate telemetry on Windows 10 LTSB 1607 and are apparently working on a review for 1809. Under lab conditions, they used man in the middle attacks to identify telemetry vectors which originate from Event Time for Windows which are baked into the OS. I have translated their report and applied the recommended actions to build 1809, I will await their update and apply any further necessary patches.

As you point out, the lack of user control over updates on Windows Home/Pro etc nullify any advantage of disabling telemetry if privacy is your concern though I'm sure the decreased resource usage will be beneficial to many.

I can't recommended LTSB/LTSC enough though. No MS store, no cortana, no candy crush nonsense. Get the N edition and windows media player isn't even installed. RAM, CPU and disk usage is markedly reduced.

Feel free to PM if you'd like more info/help on install etc.
