Hi. I want to design a small footprint vertical case on the cheap side

right now i feel that there are few budget friendly options for vertical cases
but geeek new A70 or the mesh-liciuos ...to name a few can change that

Specifications

Physical Dimensions:
  • 422mm height
  • 228mm depth
  • 188mm width

Volume: 18.08L

Mainboard: ITX
GPU: 301mm long / 2.5 slots
Power Supply: ATX
CPU Cooling: air Cooler height 80mm (maybe 120mm AIO on top)
Chassis Cooling: 120mm top

Materials: wood and laser-cut acrilic panels

design guidelines
  • weight distribution: heavy components (gpu/psu) should be supported on the base for better stability
  • air flow: chimney design, cold air enters from lateral panels and its exhausted at the top
  • size: small footprint and less than 20L... 15L ideal volume
  • price: $50 for materials
Status
First sketch. points to resolve...
  • front I/O
  • check rear panel desing
  • Gpu bracket
  • reduce size
  • cable management
  • others details
notes
internal hardware 3d model was took fron sketchup warehouse and just for reference

im going to try update as soon as i can

feedback and suggestions are welcome

hi. i dit a few changes. wood was removed. using makerbeam xl ( 150x15x15 mm)

pci-e extension cable added 300mm long ( origami bend )
2 slot gpu and tight fit for a 2.5 slot gpu... @ 72mm for cpu cooler
ATX PSU support

Physical Dimensions:

  • 422mm height
  • 228mm depth
  • 158mm width

Volume: 15.3L

i think the best location for hdd/ssd is at front botton but i dont want to add more screws in the front panel
i will finish detail and screws in the next update
