I own(ed) that brick. It blew up running a system pulling ~120W from the wall which was quite the disappointment given the price of the unit.

wow, thats bad. I thought since its from razer, and quite expensive, it was good quality. You know any other adapter at this wattage, that is small like that?

None that I'm aware of at present. The size was what sold me on the brick in the first place, but honestly I don't think I got 50 hours out of it. I think I was running an i3 4360 and GTX 950 in the system, so demand on the brick should have been quite low.

Sorry for necroing this thread but you mentioned the 165W brick at https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/kmpkt-dynamo-dc-12v.1628/page-15#post-104689 so perhaps it was the 150W that blew on you? If so then perhaps the 165W is better -- would you know the plug size of these? I am rather excited at the size of the brick, it would be perfect for the Lenovo Graphics Dock because the 170W brick shipped with that is just sad -- huge and heavy and actually thicker than the dock itself. I do not quite get why it needed a 170W brick to be honest, there is a 1050 Mobile GPU (~50W) in there, there's 65W PD so I have NFI why it would need more than 135W but perhaps Lenovo played it safe -- anyways, I don't think there'd be much of a difference between a 165W and a 170W brick, I just need to see whether it's possible to convert the plug to slim tip.
