Older project - It's been sidelined, but I realized I never shared it... Also, I really don't have many pictures of it.... But I can share my recent stream, where I unboxed a Sentio Superbook (Displaylink on steroids).

I'm looking up displaylink again. anyone knows if a displaylink USB display can utilise a discrete/desktop GPU? o_o

EDIT: yeah there's quite the latency even on the trackpad itself with the portal test o_o I don't think I'd get used to that ,_,

Yeah, the latency is rough for FPS and the ilk, but for RTS and other single-player stuff (and normal desktop / multimedia work) it's actually very minimal.

DisplayLink is a software solution for piping compressed video over USB to a chip which drives a standard output, in this case LVDS/eDP but often HDMI / VGA etc. They are handy little devices, but are a layer or two above the output, and will have latency.
