  • Yes, worth the trade off to be more compatible with components

If I remember correctly, the TX240 is actually 20.5mm, so I guess the question is more "Is 20mm a hard limit, or is it more 21+mm?"
The T1 V2.0/V2.1/V2.5 all have 46mm of clearance, the TX240s are supposed to be 20.5mm, but there's a little bit of lottery involved there unfortunately. The Dabel 20b is a safer choice on that front, but it performs slightly worse.

!Disclaimer: This is only a guideline and the best radiator is often dictated by a variety of specifics of a build or personal preferences. Generally it's best to prioritise full size fans over radiator thickness, as long as it's not a slimmer radiator than mentioned below. The 3 suggested rads in the 20-21mm thickness range are, especially noteworthy for the T1V2, as all these will fit with full size fans in it:

- XSPC TX240 -> scales best with higher fan speeds -> sometimes the QC is not on point and you can't fit them between the panel and fans, but have to put the fans between rad and panel -> rarely the TX240 is too thick and the top panel can bow on a T1

- Alphacool ST20 HPE 240 -> good middle ground for fan scaling and nice fitment -> a small amount of fittings may not fit directly into the ports due to thread length and the fan mounting points may be bowed a bit which makes screwing in the fans a bit harder

- Barrow Dabel-20b 240 -> better for lower fan speeds or if your air cooled GPU needs a bit more cooling (due to the lower FPI=lower airflow resistance, the fans can remove more heat from the GPU) -> no caveats besides local availability (available on AliExpress or Taobao)

If one really needs extra ports at the top for filling/bleed through the rad, I'd suggest the Bitspower Leviathan Slim 240 or the Alphacool HPE30 240, if the Bitspower radiator is way more expensive. Due to the extra space those 30mm rads take up, you are limited to a slim fan above the MB though.
The TX240 also is available in 120 and 360. The ST20HPE also is available in 120, 360, 140, 280 and 420. The Dabel-20b also is available in 360.

Why not the Alphacool HPE-20 240? It's 20mm spot-on. I own one.

PSA: Barrow Dabel series radiator may contain hazardous level of lead as founded by Igor's Lab. Caseking already halted sales of the series and encouraged customer to returns purchased radiators https://www.igorslab.de/en/caseking...m-sale-until-the-circumstances-are-clarified/
